You definitely not want to give #DIM to kids unfortunately because it's a #Testosterone selector or #estrogen blocker and a #mood #stabilizer....you take it to bulk up? Or to control mood swings and such? Yeah, don't give this to kids. But the way I'm using it as a #mouthwash hopefully is not going to be affecting my mood or getting rid of my Santa look. Hopefully it does protect me from cavities. I'll keep reporting as stuff happens. The taste is different than any other oral care product.
The New Zhiyun Weebill 2 Gimbal Features Integrated HD Touchscreen
Zhiyun has announced the Weebill 2 gimbal -- the industry's first to feature a flip-out HD touchscreen -- which comes as a reinvented model of the predecessor Weebill-S.
Zhiyun says the professional-grade Weebill 2 gimbal is designed for mainstream mirrorless and DSLR camera and lens combinations, such as Sony Alpha 7 III with Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM lens or the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. Launched today by Zhiyun, the new gimbal is an improved model following the success of Weebill-S.
Weebill 2 sports a lightweight frame -- it weighs 1.5 kilograms (3.3 pounds) -- and, according to Zhiyun, offers optimal responsiveness and stabilization capabilities with axis locks to reduce shake. The gimbal uses Infineon two-filter vector-splitting embedded sensor for enhanced performance.
The gimbal has an easy-to-carry sling grip functionality, and the grip function also facilitates low-angle shooting and is suitable for a comfortable operation for prolonged periods.
Visually, the biggest update is the flip-out 2.9-inch full-color HD touchscreen, which allows for full command of the gimbal and can be used as a monitor when paired with the company's AI video transmitter. It can be rotated and retracted and allows users to adjust parameters and monitor footage for interrupting shooting. Users can also access features such as one-touch Smart Follow, Timelapse, and Gesture Control, without the need of the ZY Play app that has accompanied the company's past products, including smartphone gimbals.
Compared to the previous model, Weebill 2 comes with upgraded motor torque and core algorithm, which the company claims helps the gimbal run the analysis for complex interruptions to accurately detect and compensate for a broad range of handheld instability, even in extreme conditions.
The maximum battery run time is 9 hours, which is notably down compared to the previous Weebill-S's 14 hours, however, the charging time has been reduced in turn to 1.6 hours compared to 2.5 hours of the previous model.
Weebill 2 can be used in conjunction with Zhiyun's MasterEye Visual Controller as part of the Weebill Pro+ kit. This device eliminates the need for a separate monitor, image receiver, and motion controller. Furthermore, if a TransMount Image Transmitter AI is used, it supports up to 1080p and 60fps output, reduces time delay down to 60ms, with a transmission distance of up to 150 meters (164 yards).
Weebill 2 comes in four different options: Weebill 2 Standard ($549), Weebill 2 Combo ($649), Weebill 2 Pro ($899), and Weebill 2 Pro+ ($1099). All are available to be ordered from the Zhiyun Store.

Soldering Iron Plus Camera Gimbal Helps Cancel Out Hacker’s Hand Tremors
Soldering requires steady hands, so when [Jonathan Gleich] sadly developed a condition called an essential tremor affecting his hands, soldering became much more difficult. But one day, while [Jonathan] was chatting with a friend, they were visited by the Good Ideas Fairy and in true hacker fashion, he ended up repurposing a handheld camera stabilizing gimbal to hold a soldering iron instead of a camera or smartphone. Now instead of the gimbal cancelling out hand movements to keep a camera steady, it instead helps keep a soldering iron steady.
While the inner workings of the cheap gimbal unit didn't need modification, there were a couple of things that needed work before the project came together. The first was to set up a way to quickly and easily connect and disconnect the soldering iron from the gimbal. Thanks to a dovetail-like connector, the iron can be safely stored in its regular holster and only attached when needed.
The other modification is more subtle. The stabilizer motors expect to be managing something like a smartphone, but a soldering iron is both lighter and differently balanced. That meant that the system worked, but not as well as it needed to. After using some small lead weights to tweak the mass and center of gravity of the soldering iron -- making it feel and move a bit more like an iPhone, as far as the gimbal was concerned -- results were improved.
The soldering iron stabilizer works well enough for now, but we don't doubt that [Jonathan] already has further tweaks in mind. This is a wonderful repurposing of a consumer device into an assistive aid, so watch it in action in the short video embedded below.

Zhiyun Launches the Three-Axis Smartphone Gimbal Smooth-Q3
Zhiyun-Tech -- known for its consumer and professional stabilizer products for both cameras and smartphones such as the Crane-series camera gimbals -- has announced the launch of its latest smartphone stabilizer Smooth-Q3.
Smooth-Q3 is a consumer-marketed three-axis smartphone gimbal with a new compact design, compared to the older Smooth-Q2 model. The most notable new feature of this gimbal is the 4,300k warm-toned integrated fill light that has three levels of brightness adjustments and a touch button control for 180-degree front and rear lighting, which the brand claims is "perfect for capturing clear portrait images in low light setups" and enhances the user experience when filming content or doing a mobile live stream.
This stabilizer also works in conjunction with the ZY Cami app which brings several new features with the release of the Smooth-Q3, such as SMART templates and an advanced editor. The app allows users to speed up the creation of videos that are shot on regular basis, using built-in templates, and the videos can be edited to add music, special effects, and filters.
Additional new features include gesture control, SmartFollow 3.0 Object Tracking, an instant Dolly Zoom, and MagicClone Pano, which is operated using a single press trigger button to mark the target and activate smart following.
In comparison to its predecessor Smooth-Q2, the latest model is lighter at 340 grams (0.75 lbs) and easier to fold, but also boasts a higher maximum payload of 280 grams (0.62 lbs) compared to Smooth-Q2's 260 grams (0.57 lbs). The Smooth-Q3 measures 45mm (1.8 inches) x 154mm (6.1 inches) x 180mm (7.1 inches).
The stabilizer is compatible with any smartphone models that are within the holder's capable width and boasts 15 hours maximum battery run time and can charge from empty to 100% in three hours.
Zhiyun claims the new intuitive button layout leads to overall smoother operation, such as by triple tapping the trigger, a user can instantly switch between portrait and landscape modes. The gimbal also allows easy capture of ultra-wide-angle shots as well as low-angle shots.
The new model can be purchased on the Zhiyun store individually for $89 or as a $109 Smooth-Q3 combo, which includes Smooth-Q3, charging cable, tripod, protective bag, VIP card, and a wrist strap.
