My #NixOS #setup. Even when I #ported it once to #another #machine, I #forgot to add the #user #password. So I kind of went into a #ghost user #session. All i did is #reboot and chose previous #generation corrected my #config and that's all. No need for #backup, #rescue #disk etc. I corrected my configs, now it's truly portable. All my setup is #rock #solid #stable and never #broke it though I use a lot of #unstable #packages. #Nix and #NixOS are just 🔥 ❤️
Zhenlei Huang – FreeBSD committer zlei@ – draws attention to <https://reviews.freebsd.org/D39695>, and respectfully suggests consideration of merges where three commits have been on the main branch for a few months:

「Building a ported kernel module, where the Project-provided package is inferior」
For readers with a passing interest: to the best of my knowledge, freebsd-update(8) is simply not usable – not testable – with FreeBSD-CURRENT (from the main branch) or STABLE (branches where degrees of testing occur, parallel to short-lived releng branches).

Project of the day (2023 November 15th)
#KevinMacleod #SoftwareRadio #library : https://github.com/seanpm2001/Kevin-MacLeod_SoftwareRadioLIBrary
#Kevin #Macleod #Software# Radio Library is a #software library for #playback of Kevin Macleod #music in software (mostly intended for video games) it contains several #gigabytes of Kevins music, and is planned to be #ported to as many #platforms and programming languages as possible, starting with #Python
It was #inspired by the radio #stations in #GrandTheftAuto and the lack of a #libre #alternative in software. The software itself is #GPL licensed with the #GPL3 license, but the music is under Kevins #CreativeCommons #license
The project is in the very early stages of development, and is not functional yet. Kevin Macleod #albums that contain #songs that are 25 MiB or larger are currently not included.
Also #ported it to #powershell for shit and giggles.

Integrated some #statistics of my UPS in my #dashboard as well so I can quickly see how much power I use n such :)
It's quite nice how far it has come along since I #ported it all from #CakePHP to #EmberJS :)
