Thanks to everyone who came to visit our stand at #fosdem . We showed off a couple of new devices this year like the PineVoice home assistant speaker and the new PineTime Pro prototype. A lot of the discussion topics we had at FOSDEM will make it into a new community blog post. Including what this year will look like considering DRAM prices.

I just find out I was banned from #Pine64 community for I’ve asked for refund after 4 months waiting for a purchase that had never been dispatched.

@shom a while back you were posting about your #PineNote E-Ink tablet, now that you've had it for a while, assuming you still have it, how has it been holding up for you? Do you still use it and enjoy it?

Todavía me preguntaba por qué la navegación no me funcionaba (PineTime + Amazfish en #UBports). Al final, resultó ser AppArmor en Pure Maps (ahora hay una versión sin restricciones de la aplicación en la tienda). is anyone able to test the modem patch for the #Pine64 #PinePhonePro?

i dont have a sim card for the device as its unfortunately not my daily driver. will give u pmbootstrap commands and the kernel tree so u can build it locally to test. can also field any questions if u have any

bonus: u can get credit in the linux kernel for testing the patch too! would need name and email for that

i think ill also try to get wifi and bluetooth working too. phosh seems to recognize the modem with my patch

Finally got around to finishing the #PinephonePro review. I know its no longer a #mobilelinux phone that is in production but its still nice to see where it is now at its end of production and to see what was possible on it. Software on it will hopefully continue to be improved upon so hopefully it is currently in its worst state now and will get better in time but only time will tell.

With the v25.12 release of postmarketos, the Pinenote support is in a pretty good place. Although the device isn't in community yet, I backport fixes from edge so you don't have to. I've packaged hrdl's sway config under device-pine64-pinenote-sway-hrdl for those wanting an opinionated setup right away. I'll be working on optimising existing postmarketos UIs for eink displays in preparation for v26.06.
