Nutzt hier eins die iOS-Navigationsapp Overland in Kombi mit Nextcloud/Phonetrack?

Nachdem ich die letzten Tage an den besten Einstellungen (aktuell für zu Fuß alle 10 m/alle 10 sec) geschraubt habe, läuft es theoretisch gut, aber unterwegs gibt es ohne Grund immer wieder so „Ausrutscher“, dass der Track zu einem unbekannten Punkt und wieder zurück springt und danach wieder weiterläuft. Siehe Screenshots.

I'm beginning to understand why Evil Big Tech has such a stranglehold on the software we use.

I've been thinking it would be nice to ditch Google Maps Timeline and use a non-evil alternative instead.

After a little bit of looking around, it seemed that PhoneTrack and its Nextcloud integration might do what I need.

Well, maybe it does, but after spending a large chunk of yesterday faffing around with it, I haven't got it to work yet.

Kaum zurück in D Asphalt-Verwerfungen wegen Wurzeln (schlimmer geworden) und irgendwo ein Scherbenhaufen mit Folgen.

Erstmalig das Tracking #datensparsam und #privatsphäre wahrend mit #nextcloud und #phonetrack getestet. Anfangs etwas komplex und beim Link teilen muss man erst die Tracks zur Anzeige auswählen. Aber sonst sehr solide und voll von Features.

Geplant natürlich mit #bikerouter #routenplaner #followmychallenge #osm #openstreetmap

Irgendwer hat mal über Owntracks und #Automatisierung per Automation geschrieben. Ich finde den Beitrag nicht mehr.
Ich möchte gerne, das #Owntracks stoppt, wenn ich im WLAN bin und außerhalb auf wesentliche Änderungen umstellt. Beim Laden im Auto wäre der Bewegungsmodus super.

For decades I've only been using #Nextcloud as a service for syncing my files over multiple different computers. Then on a whim I tried #Collabora that worked great! Then I thought maybe I could move my passwords over and sure enough there's a an add-on for that! Moving my calendar and contacts? Yup! What about notes? Oh yeah, that too! Then recently I learned about #PhoneTrack that is almost like find my phone. Who needs Google any way! 😝

@nextcloud #PhoneTrack is great. I have been using it as described, on my server, for more than a year. It took me some time to quite understand how the various settings influence the granularity of the tracking, but I have arrived at a setup that is pretty much what the tracker on Google Maps can do--but without Google involved. Sharing with others (on the same server) also works well. Replacing the PhoneTrack Android app is also quite possible if desired. I have arrived on a mostly-working self-written app for this, feeding into the #Nextcloud backend.

Speaking of my gps tracker project, it's really coming along. The red line in the image below is me walking around the parking lot with my laptop and the gps dongle. The purple dot is the tracker running on the old netbook. I can't really walk around with that because I haven't figured out the wifi. So, it's wired directly to the router.

Wenn du eine #Nextcloud besitzt, kannst du dort #Phonetrack installieren und auf dem Handy #OwnTracks. Das läuft z.B. bei mir.
Alternativ gibts auch #Traccar, was du auch mit einem Demo Server verwenden kannst.
Im FDroid gibts #Zood, welche allerdings GMaps als Karte verwendet, was ohne Google Dienste nicht funktioniert.
Dann habe ich auch noch #Paralino im PlayStore entdeckt. Enthält keine Tracker und funktioniert.

Offene Aufgabe: Ich suche eine Alternative zur #Google #Maps #Zeitachse, dauerhafte Aufzeichnung,

ALTER TABLE oc_phonetrack_points ROW_FORMAT=DYNAMIC;

...dann klappt es auch mit dem "richtigen" Datenbankformat bei der Tabelle oc_phonetrack_points in der Nextcloud.

Mittlerweile habe ich das gut hin bekommen. Ich habe in #Phonetrack Geräte Namen reserviert und dann die entsprechenden URLs, in #OwnTracks eingetragen. Außerdem habe ich festgelegt, dass Positionen welche ungenauer als 2.000 m sind, ignoriert werden.

Auf meiner #Nextcloud bei Hetzner habe ich #Phonetrack installiert.
Nun möchte ich auf zwei Android Handys den #Standort mit #OwnTracks aufzeichnen und verfolgen. Mit einem Handy geht das gut, aber wenn ich ein zweites Handy verbinde, wird das erste irgendwie überschrieben.
Wie kann ich damit den Standort von zwei Handys verfolgen?
Nutzt das evtl jemand schon so.
Falls jemand eine Alternative kennt, dann immer her damit.

I am currently experimenting with the #nextcloud #phonetrack #app and the corresponding #android #phonetrack app from #fdroid to use them to record my #motorbike trips.

It looks promising, however using a #klte (Samsung S5) the frequency of the reported #gps #fixpoints was quite low.

Will try with modified settings; however this might have been due to me and the phone sitting in a car.

Here, it is about -1° C. Not good for a test on a #motorcycle .

DaWarIch ausprobiert und für gut empfunden.

Bisher lasse ich mir meine GPS Daten (via OwnTracks) über das Netxcloud Plugin PhoneTrack aufbereiten.

Nun geht es via NodeRed zusätzlich über die API in DaWarIch

Anyone using #phonetrack and @nextcloud? Just set it up with phonetrack-android on my phone. Wanting to implement a replacement for location sharing and location history, but I may be missing the mark of the software.
