Both of those are on the much superior Open Street Map (I use Organic Maps as a frontend). Maybe dog poo bins are too.

Die für Musik kennt leider keine Ordner und ist damit für mich und meine Musiksammlung völlig unbrauchbar! (Gut: sie hat einen EQ.)

Eure Maps funktioniert leider nur mit eingeschaltetem "echten" Standort...
Bei #organicMaps kann ich ohne Standort arbeiten und Tage vorher in aller Ruhe schauen, wie ich von A nach B kommen werde... Das geht mit eurer App nicht. Schade!
Diese Baustelle (Europäische Maps Alternative) hab ich erstmal aufgegeben. Heute nochmal im Auto #CarPlay und #HereWeGoMaps versucht, geht nicht mal ne Spracheingabe für die Suche aktuell. Ja, ich verwende punktuell outdoors und offline gerne mal #OpenStreetMap in Apps wie #OrganicMaps #OsmAndMaps und natürlich #Komoot. Aber das was GoogleMaps bietet ist leider sehr weit allem anderen voraus. #diday

@ramkay @drrjv @pluralistic #CoMaps (alternatively the #MapsWithMe or #OrganicMaps they forked from) is currently what I'd recommend for anyone who just wants free and easy to use. And do enable editing to add your favorite points of interest 🙂
Die beste Kartenapp ist immer noch Organic Maps! Unfassbar akkurat, jeder kleinste Weg ist dort verzeichnet. Grandios um wilde Gegenden zu erkunden ohne unerwartet in Sackgassen zu landen :)

So I switched back to #OSMAnd after using #OrganicMaps for a long time.
OrganicMaps (or also Comaps) is very friendly out of the box but now I graduated to OSMAnd power-user after spending an hour customizing the UI to my liking, specifically for cycle touring.
I also spun up my own #Wanderer server to replace #komoot after was taken over by VC money. Seems like the perfect fully customizable map system now. Love it!
I'd donate but seems Google store ToC has ruined this?

🔟 Weiter geht's zum #diday Nr. 2 und zwar mit Google Maps🫠. Ich habe mir in den letzten Tagen einige alternative Apps geholt und probiere sie nach und nach aus. Heute mit #herewego gefahren. Außerdem warten noch #Osmand und #OrganicMaps darauf, ausprobiert zu werden. Letztere basieren auf #openstreetmaps.
@maexchen1 Klingt alles sehr plausibel und ich ringe seit langem darum sowohl von komoot als auch googlemaps ganz weg zu kommen.
Mit #organicMaps bzw. #CoMaps mache ich sehr gute Erfahrungen. Aber zur Planung von Wanderungen oder auch wenn ich ein Restaurant oder Geschäft suche, reichen mir die Infos von #osm nicht aus. Und mal eben schnell unterwegs das #fediverse nach #tags zu durchsuchen ist nicht ernsthaft praktikabel. Trotzdem: mach diesen Thread hier zu einer Anleitung! 👍🏾
leider muss man(n) sagen an Maps kommt nichts ran wenn es um den Strassenverkehr geht und kurz Restaurants,... in der nähe zu checken🤷♂️.
