What are the current best practices for setting up proofs of your online identity? I've seen people on Mastodon using https://keyoxide.org/ for that, is it the right thing to use, and should I use it with GPG keys?

Also what's the best practice for setting up the key/identity for multiple machines? Should I just copy the private key around, or there are better ways of doing that?

@harld ook dat kan met Yivi.

"Yivi is een identiteitsapp waarmee je makkelijk en veilig inlogt, gegevens deelt en bewijst wie je bent. "

Jammer dat deze app niet meer aandacht krijgt.

I saw a post last night celebrating everyone who gave today as their birthday when signing up for some online service. I did that too.

Happy online birthday day!

Oh good! Apparently #Discord now has per-server profiles. A few years ago, I was on a dev course, and I didn't join their official Discord thing because I didn't want people in such a professional setting keep staring at my cringe ass gamer shit.

Now, if only #GitHub (who insist that you should only have one account per person) would allow people to set up "personas" so that they can separate their Notorious Hacker Aliases from their Corporate Code Monkey contributions. That would be swell.

Europe has invested heavily in digital citizenship. During the last year, we experienced Quebec's withdrawal from emails and other digital services due to security concerns, and later, we got to experience a full-blown, certificate-based digital identity experience in Spain.

This is how you kill privacy & anonymity, and disenfranchise the weak, people; do you not ALSO care about that, JM?
