Nachdem ich mit dem letzten grossen Buch durch war, habe ich noch nichts neues angefangen. Ein paar Seiten hab ich gelesen im Tagebuch von Taras Schevtschenko, ein paar Seiten in anderen Büchern.
Jetzt habe ich angefangen mit Tolstois "Wovon die Menschen leben". Einfache, direkte Sprache. Zugegeben, ich hab das Ende nachgeschaut … brauch im Moment nichts zu düsteres, das hier sollte passen.

#NowReading - well just finished. Hannah Silva "My Child, the Algorithm". Which is brilliant and challenging.
So she is a poet. And this book is not poetry, but it is poetic. Meaning it is not easy or clean to read. But if you read it as such the story is there. Not simply told, not a clear prose story, but good.
She is a queer single mother. She talks about all the pain and challenge, as well as all the delight of this motherhood. And of negotiating relationships.
And, in the midst of this, she uses an AI algorithm to provide some of the input, based on her writing.
Which is all very odd. But really worth the effort.

Virginia Woolfs Buch "The Common Reader" ist eine Mischung aus wunderbaren Betrachtungen über das Lesen … und Schreiben, Reviews interessanter Autoren … und einigen Reviews über sehr langweilige Bücher. Muss man nicht alles am Stück lesen. Gut um sich überraschen zu lassen.

The future is a lawless libertarian (in the worst possible sense) mess of gang controlled franchise states and cults. Pizza delivery is far more exciting than today. Mind viruses are making a come back. The Metaverse is actually popular in this world. Hackers are still interested in katanas in the future. We learn about Aleut harpooners and ancient Sumeria.
Just wish he would have made the girl protagonist an adult. Adults are sexy. Let's stop sexualizing teens.
