Just started this and I cannot put it down. This has been such a good read so far. Also very darkly funny! My favorite.
I read #GeorgeSaunders' collection of short stories, Liberation Day (Bloomsbury), in 2023. I recall vividly Love Letter, in which a grandfather writes a letter to his grandson during a time set in the future, but eerily familiar. I heard #DavidSedaris read the story on #TheNewYorker Fiction podcast yesterday. Now I know why it was so "eerily familiar"! 😟
