@stroughtonsmith Wouldn't #iPadOS 26 be the most likely clue how Touch is gonna be handled in #macOS 27? Also, if you look at the design of the global menu bar, the space between each drop down, the Control Center itself, stage manager, a lot of the fundamentals are already there.

I've been connecting dots Apple probably doesn't want connected yet.

The touchscreen MacBook Pro is coming late 2026. iPadOS 26 already has Mac-style traffic lights, menu bars, and real windowing. Both platforms run on Apple Silicon. iOS 27 and macOS 27 are reportedly "Snow Leopard" releases focused on cleaning up code.

Wczoraj wieczorem Apple udostępniło kilka kolejnych aktualizacji przeznaczonych do instalacji na urządzeniach, które nie są wspierane przez najnowsze systemy.

A chodzi konkretnie o poniższe aktualizacje:

• iOS 16.7.14
• iPadOS 16.7.14
• macOS 11.7.11
• watchOS 10.6.2
• watchOS 9.6.4
• watchOS 6.3.1

Aktualizacja iOS jest skierowana głównie dla użytkowników z Australii. Naprawia możliwość korzystania z połączeń alarmowych.

Z kolei pozostałe aktualizacje zapewniają dalsze wsparcie usług iMessage i FaceTime na starszych urządzeniach.

❓ Question for the geeks among us:
I use this #iPadPro M2 exclusively for drawing in Procreate, and that's it. I'd like to use the tablet for other things too, but I can't stand #iPadOS. Years ago, I had an iPhone13mini and I loved it, but on the iPad, I just hate it.

I've been looking for a way to install #Linux via a virtual machine (#VM). I found a tutorial on how to install it using #UTM, but once I tried it, I discovered that it only works on older #iPad models. Any tips on how I can put Linux on my iPad while keeping #iOS - #iPadOS for #Procreate ?

I finally wrote up my favorite iPad Pro apps heading into 2026. Some old friends (Drafts, Obsidian), some reluctant admissions (Todoist is just too versatile), and one genuinely surprising discovery: Beam Browser.

A 16-year-old in the UK got frustrated that every iPad browser is Safari with a different logo. So he built the Arc-style browser Apple and The Browser Company couldn't be bothered to make.
