A quick update on my battery powered #homestudio. The batteries are now #charging from the #grid. However, while #debugging, some of the #relay in the #fusebox got fried. 😝️ I have to take it apart tomorrow and assess the damage. But it looks like I'm inching closer to a happy ending (or happy beginning of #linuxaudio #musicmaking). 🥳️ PD: The batteries had to be reset and connected to the #inverter one by one and suddenly everything started to work.

Recently came back from holiday after the RCD blew and turned off the home automation, internet and worst… the fridge freezer.

A week without power can really have an impact. Had to throw away shit loads of food.

Looking at options to build in resilience.

One option is a new fuse box that has different RCD circuits, where internet/automation and fridge are on dedicated circuits to limit impact.

So, I have an electrician round this morning, changing my #fusebox / #ConsumerUnit and I realised this is only happening because I gave a shout out on #Mastodon, asking if anyone knew a good sparks in my area and @RobW replied.
