我猜想，他的潜台词是，运行自己的比特币节点（除了心理安慰），没有什么用。
我可不这么想。今年我把自己的全节点硬件，从树莓派升级到了 Intel Nuc 13（花了5krmb），又升级了千兆宽带，节点24小时在线并且不使用 vpn，这样一来，每天我可以为国内的其他新老节点，上传2-5gb的数据，并且这个数据量应该会越来越多。
对于我来说，运行自己的比特币节点，是为了让比特币网络更加坚固，间接地保护自己的比特币财产。如果像我这么想的人多，就会有越多的比特币全节点，比特币网络就越可靠，会有越多的人愿意投资于比特币，我们这些比特币持有者也就越能受益。
相反地，如果没有人运行全节点，像以太坊网络一样，只是几个跑在谷歌云或 AWS 上的服务器在运行全节点的话，比特币就算不上是一个分布式的网络，从本质上，失去了它的价值。

我建议每一个正在投资比特币并且想要更深入学习比特币的人都运行自己的比特币节点，只是使用最低限度的硬件的话，并不贵的（树莓派+1tb ssd，约摸1500rmb）。
