Ed Warren nació el 7 de septiembre de 1926 en Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Según su propio relato, con cinco años ya veía sombras y presencias en su casa familiar.
Su padre, policía y católico practicante, le habló de almas del purgatorio.
Esa explicación religiosa fue la base de todo lo que vino después.
Lorraine Warren nació el 31 de enero de 1927, también en Bridgeport.
Desde niña decía percibir auras y luces alrededor de las personas.
En un colegio católico aprendió a callarlo; de adulta lo convirtió en identidad: clarividente y médium trance.
Se conocieron en 1944 en un cine.
Se casaron el 22 de mayo de 1945.
Ed sirvió en la Marina durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y, al volver, empezó pintando casas.
Pronto encontró algo más rentable: visitar viviendas supuestamente encantadas, documentarlas y dar conferencias.
Lorraine aportaba la “sensibilidad”; Ed, la narrativa demonológica.
Juntos construyeron marca.
El caso que los lanzó al estrellato fue "The Amityville Horror".
La historia de la casa maldita se convirtió en fenómeno mundial.
Años después, el abogado de Ronald DeFeo admitió que gran parte del relato se elaboró estratégicamente.
La famosa foto del “niño fantasma” defendida por Ed —ojos brillando en la oscuridad— fue señalada por investigadores como un miembro de su propio equipo captado con película infrarroja.
Efecto óptico, no espectro.
En Enfield (1977-1979), caso que inspiró "The Conjuring 2", su presencia real fue mínima: un día.

La parte más oscura llegó en 2014.
Judith Penney declaró bajo juramento que su relación con Ed comenzó cuando ella tenía 15 años y él más de 30.
Afirmó haber vivido durante décadas en casa de los Warren, presentada públicamente como “sobrina”.
Sostuvo que Lorraine conocía la relación.
Declaró también un embarazo en 1978 y presión para abortar, además de haber ayudado a montar fotografías paranormales.
La familia negó las acusaciones.
No hubo condena penal.
Pero la grieta quedó.
Mientras tanto, el cine hacía su trabajo.
La saga iniciada con "The Conjuring", producida por New Line Cinema, los retrata como héroes morales.
Se ha señalado que los contratos impedían mostrarles cometiendo delitos o infidelidades.

El Museo del Ocultismo en Monroe terminó cerrado por problemas de zonificación, presión vecinal constante y limitaciones legales al estar ubicado en una zona residencial.
Durante años los vecinos denunciaron tráfico, curiosos merodeando de noche y uso comercial no autorizado del terreno.
Finalmente, las autoridades locales ordenaron su cierre permanente al público.
En la actualidad (2026), el museo como espacio físico en Connecticut ya no está operativo y la gestión directa tampoco recae exclusivamente en su yerno, Tony Spera.
Tras el arrendamiento de la colección en 2025, gran parte de los objetos —incluida la muñeca Annabelle— fue trasladada fuera del estado y puesta bajo custodia externa para exhibiciones itinerantes y proyectos mediáticos.
La colección ya no funciona como museo residencial tradicional, sino como activo comercial itinerante.
Ed murió en 2006.
Lorraine en 2019.

#TfL is seeking views on proposed walking and cycling improvements at the A10 Great Cambridge Road and Lincoln Road junction. The consultation runs until Friday 13 March 2026. The plans aim to improve safety and access through upgraded pedestrian crossings on all arms, a new direct east–west signalised cycle crossing, wider footways and shared-use areas. Proposals include new or improved signalised, zebra and Toucan crossings, raised tables and wider central islands. Some vehicle movements would be restricted, including changes to service road access, the removal of certain left turns and the closure of a central reservation turn-around. Limited informal parking would be removed to maintain visibility. The scheme would link with the London Borough of Enfield’s planned #Enfield Town to Ponders End walking and cycling route. Bus services would remain unchanged, with limited long-term traffic impacts expected.

Turning, #Japanese : the old #bearing was from #NSK #Japan - so it would have been a fairly decent brand (its a VW OEM supplier) but /something/ knackered it (maybe a pothole?) - and as its not VW marked it would have been already replaced once - I don't think the lads at the dealer in #London would have had much opportunity to hoon the car before it was sold even if they wanted to, they are in #Barnet / #Enfield which is full of low speed limits as well as cameras).
The magnet ring was still intact, so I used some liquid crystal sheet to show the #magnetic fields (these #magnets are what makes the #ABS sensor work)

Animations and Halloween are special treats for me, so why not combine both?
Part of my Enfield and Amara lore in particular is that she can turn people's body's into crystal, specifically amethyst. However they do not die. they are immobillized and are awake and imprisoned within. So here we are having her limp through a catacomb or perhaps more accurately a prison.
