HB-IRN (fake registration), Douglas DC-3, in SwissAir colours, on display at the base of the Besucherhügel (Visitors Hill) at Munich Strauss Airport, 30th September 1996.
A Junkers JU-52/3m in pre-World War 2 Luft Hansa livery, and the tail of a Lockheed Constellation in post-WW2 Lufthansa colours can also be seen.
I previously saw this with the fake registration N569R on the terraces at Frankfurt Airport in 1993.
The actual HB-IRN is on display at the Swiss transport Museum in Luzerne where I saw it in 1989.
That plane operated the first commercial flights from Switzerland to my home airport, Manchester, in 1948!

This is an aerial photograph of the Lubbock Municipal Airport taken in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The image looks down on the terminal, control tower, aircraft ramp, and surrounding airfield. The terminal is a long, low tan building with a flat roof. Near the center is a round, two-story section with curved windows. Behind it stands a square tan control tower with small rectangular windows and an open deck. Above the deck is a glass-walled cab with radar antennas and communication masts on the roof.

Two commercial jets are parked on the ramp. Both are narrow-body jets with rear-mounted engines, likely early DC-9s. One jet is positioned close to the curved terminal section with ground service equipment nearby. The other is parked farther back, near the edge of the ramp. A small red-and-white airport vehicle is driving near the aircraft in the foreground.

The ramp markings are visible: wide taxiway lines, hold-short lines, and parking stand outlines. Beyond the ramp are long concrete runways and taxiways surrounded by dry, brownish grass. In the lower part of the image is a small parking lot filled with cars and pickup trucks of late 1960s styles. Matkustajakoneena: Sodan jälkeen kone myytiin Suomeen Aero O/Y:lle (nyk. Finnair). Se lensi tunnuksella OH-LCF ja kantoi nimeä "Kyytipoika".

Ilmavoimissa: Vuonna 1960 Aero myi koneen Ilmavoimille, jolloin se sai tunnuksen DO-4. Kuvissa näkyvät suuret pariovet tekivät siitä erinomaisen rahti- ja hyppykoneen.

Nykytilanne: DO-4 jäi eläkkeelle vuonna 1984 ja on nykyään nähtävillä Suomen Ilmavoimamuseossa Tikkakoskella.

he final postcard shows the interior of the Northern Air Service Sky-Lounge located inside the terminal. This plane never actually served with Swiss Air - the real HB-IRN is on display at the Swiss Transport Museum (which, co-incidentally, I accidentally visited in 1990!) in Lucerne.
Instead, this spent most of it's career with SAS Scandinavian Airlines and Kar-Air, before being donated for display on the rooftop terraces at Frankfurt Airport, where, co-incidentally, I saw it in 1993!
