I really wish Firebase Crashlytics would add a button to mute/hide an issue *FOREVER*.

Certain crashes are caused by bugs in old versions of Android and apps can do nothing about it. So please let me hide this...

Tracer — модульный инструмент для аналитики ошибок в мобильных приложениях от OK.Tech, который мы представили год назад. За это время в Tracer зарегистрировалось более 1400 организаций и 5000 пользователей. Сейчас решение обрабатывает более 1 млрд событий в день и обслуживает приложения, которые имеют суммарный DAU в 20 млн пользователей. Опыт наших клиентов показывает, что Tracer успешно справляется с поставленными задачами, но мы всё равно не останавливаемся на достигнутом. Меня зовут Кирилл Попов. Case in point: Wilst software can be designed to violate #GDPR, designing it otherwise doesn't make it comply per default - unless one would have like a single executeable that doesn't have any crash reporting or networking functionality.

And even by that one could argue it could be used and abused to violate it if one intents to do so.

The developers / vendors tho aren't at fault unless proven otherwise, just like i.e. Audi isn't at fault for gangsters using their cars to flee a crime scene.

Are there any recommendations for a Firebase Crashlytics alternative with privacy in mind? Also is there a good service to send log messages to (I want to know when users run into errors, which are not crashes). I like TelemetryDeck for analytics, but it‘s not suited for those kinds of remote logging functionality. #SwiftUI #Xcode #iOS #Crashlytics

We are using #Firebase #Crashlytics to report crashes in the #iOS project I'm currently working on. #dSYM files are being uploaded while building the project as a step in Build Phases, as described here: https://firebase.google.com/docs/crashlytics/get-deobfuscated-reports?platform=ios#check-input-files-setup

When I build the project and when CI pipelines are building it, I noticed that quite often the process of uploading dSYM is taking a long time. It can be up to an hour on CI.

@aral @LunaDragofelis @wakame That being said they should do #Crashlytics as opt-in for #CCSS (commercial closed-source software) to provide support.
But that's just my opinion.

I use #bash since I need to be able to run my stuff on every mainstream #Linux box and #fish whilst being theoretically better isn't an option since "install a second shell" is a no-no in between "install another interpreter" and "install a compiler" in production setups.

Was die Freude aber mindert: Während die Webseite der #TUM grundsätzlich auf einen #MaToMo-Dienst des #LRZ zur Analyse der Besucherströme verwendet, verwendet die App des Projekts gemäß den Datenschutzinformationen aus für mich nicht nachvollziehbaren Gründen sowohl #GoogleAnalytics als auch #Crashlytics. Dass Google die dadurch gewonnenen Daten aufgrund einer #AVV zu keinerlei eigenen Zwecken nutzen wird, erfordert sehr viel Optimismus 🙄

Ich hatte in #izzy's_Repo noch die App #BookShelf (https://github.com/smartjinyu/MyBookshelf) gefunden. Die sieht auch ganz gut aus, allerdings hat sie #Google #Crashlytics integriert. Hat hier jemand Erfahrung, wie viel Arbeit es ist, das zu entfernen? Oder kennt jemand noch eine bessere Lösung? Hat hier sonst noch jemand seine Bücher katalogisiert?

I just realized I run #Ruby on all my sites. My blog is make with #Jekyll, and #Mastodon is also made with Ruby. Awkward. Last year, I made dashboards using #Dashing, which is, you guessed it, a tool made with Ruby. Love that thing. Created status boards for the app team to see the app's health through #Crashlytics and current user count as well as store ratings. Kept our focus and we competed for the best performing app.
