We process collisions, not consequences. We're experience-oriented, not result-oriented machines.
This explains:
* Obsessing over argument details
* Why robots freeze in cluttered spaces
* Why you remember friction more than outcomes
* Why you don't need a complete life plan

The article reports that general intelligence arises from coordinated interaction across the entire brain rather than a single region. By integrating diffusion-weighted MRI and resting-state fMRI to model the connectome, the study shows that global network patterns predict cognitive ability and reflect an efficient, small-world architecture.

This is of interest to psychology because it supports a network-based view of intelligence, emphasizing distributed processes and the brain’s global topology as key to cognitive performance. The findings highlight how features like weak long-range connections, modal control, and small-world organization relate to intelligent behavior.

What if we create conscious systems without realizing it?Consciousness is no longer just philosophy. Scientists say it’s now central to ethics, AI safety, and human responsibility.

🧵As AI systems grow in sophistication, some people are supposing chatbots are moving toward being conscious entities.

This is incorrect, but we should be more precise about what consciousness and perception are.

If we are, we realize that minds do not create experience; experience is what creates minds. plus.flux.community/p/its-like

Here's how to fight back. First, do a pre-mortem before decisions. Ask how bias could ruin your thinking. Next, find someone who disagrees with you. Listen before arguing. Finally, use simple checklists for common biases like confirmation bias or overconfidence.

The hard truth? If you think bias doesn't affect you, that's when you're most vulnerable.

One positive indicator you're ready for advanced AI integration: friction in your PKM process feels productive, not frustrating.

This seems counterintuitive in our efficiency-obsessed culture. But that friction—struggling to articulate ideas, searching for connections, rewriting until it clicks—that's where learning happens.

Your Zettelkasten is a gym for cognitive workout. The resistance is the point.
