When I emphasize the slowness of my work process, I don't mean that I rest on my laurels and do nothing... /let's say it like that in English... The process is ongoing all the time; sawing the wooden bases, sanding, finishing the edges, priming with gesso, attaching the hanger and only then do we get to the actual painting. In this picture, that round birch plywood has been sanded and is waiting for the first layer of gesso to dry. I usually apply 2-3 coats of primer depending on the situation. Of course, you can do other work while it's drying... ✌️☺️🥰

Koko ajan on prosessi käynnissä; puupohjien sahaaminen, hiominen, reunojen viimeistely, pohjamaalaus gessolla, ripustuksen kiinnitys ja vasta sitten päästään itse varsinaiseen maalaamiseen. Tässä kuvassa tuo pyöreä koivuvaneri on hiottu ja se odottaa ensimmäisen gessokerroksen kuivumista. Laitan yleensä 2-3 pohjustusta tilanteen mukaan. Made this pygmy falcon sketch yesterday with Pigma brush pen, micron pens and Kuretake watercolor paint. I would not have been able to draw this so fast and accurate a couple of years ago. Lots of art practice really does pay off :)

I spent Halloween uh... practicing drawing Neuvilette's eyes. First two attempts were without a reference image. Then I realized I did it wrong and drew 16 more eyes to compensate for the mistake. I GOT TIRED. Happy w/final result, though.

Color is an international exhibition that has been held annually since 2017. It features photography, painting, video and interactive art, sculpture, and installation works that explore colours and colour-related themes. The exhibition highlights artistic experiments with the expressive and symbolic dimensions of color, showing how color can shape emotions, memories, and cultural meanings.

The last good and affordable Soundcore model as far as I can tell. The perspective is off a bit. I'll probably take another whack at this at some point but not today.
