Ich war heute mit meiner Frau etwas wandern. zwei Dörfer weiter und ja, es waren neue Wege. "Guck doch mal auf die Maps, wo es lang geht..." Mist, Googlemaps hab ich auf dem #grapheneos doch nicht mehr. Ich hatte mir mal #Organicmaps aus dem #accrescent store installiert.
Was soll ich sagen. Ein perfekter Ersatz. Navigiert uns über alle Wald und Wiesenwege. Der "blaue Pfeil" reagiert schnell, zoomen und suchen läuft, flüssig und passt. Ich bin begeistert. Empfehlung! 👍

As some of you might know, Google plans to control the way of getting applications on Android starting in September 2026 by forcing developers to pay a fee and provide government identification documents. That would mean that most of the FOSS apps out there that can be downloaded from Accrescent, Obtainium, F-Droid, IzzyOnDroid and whatever else won't be installable anymore.

Althought Google announced to allow sideloading further, their statement didn't changed until now.

"Starting in September 2026, Android will require all apps to be registered by verified developers in order to be installed on certified Android devices"

We can only hope that Google change that and/or allow sideloading further for "advanced" users whatever "advanced users" are (I'm ok with clicking three popups and the "are you seriously sure" button)

The website doesn't have a word about #grapheneos, #obtainium, or #accrescent yet lists every possible insecure device and rom, and presents #fdroid (with well-known serious security issues of its own) as if it were the only option for installing apps?

Either the people behind the website are woefully unqualified to make recommendations or they have an agenda not much more in the interest of users than Google's.

ich bin auch noch nicht lange dabei mit meinem Pixel 7a und #grapheneos.
Aber ich hab folgende Erfahrungen.
Zuerst immer Apps aus dem #fdroid Store mit #droid-ify und #accrescent store verwenden. 2. Wahl ist #aurora Store.
#nextcloud, #davx5, #forkclient statt Telegram, #sunup als #pushclient, Passwortmanager #keepassdx, Galerie #aves, Kontakte #fossifycontacts und Kalender #etar, zum Austausch zwischen Profilen #interprofilesharing
Das geht bei mir gut! Viel Erfolg!

Ich habe, zum testen, ein #Pixel6 gebraucht gekauft und #GrapheneOS draufgepackt. Habe 3 User (1 x Admin, 2 x spezielle User). An Appstores habe ich neben dem #GrapheneOS Appstore noch #Accrescent, #F-Droid-Basic und #Aurora. Der #GooglePlayStore ist auch installiert und fühlt sich in seinem Sandkasten (#Sandbox) sehr wohl.
Es laufen auch #AndroidAuto und diverse Banking Apps problemlos. Das einzige, was nicht klappt, ist das Bezahlen mit Google Wallet...Das war aber klar und ich habe das mit meinem Life-Hack #Visakarte-in-die-Hülle-stecken wunderbar gelöst.

Ya que me gusta indagar en la vida de los/as devs okno, abrí una issue en el repositorio de Easy Notes aver si regresa a hacer actualizaciones en #Accrescent

Lo ultimo que dijo por Reddit es que perdió las claves, le vuelvo a preguntar para ver si oficialmente dejará de hacerlo o no, en el caso de que responda :420_stonedcat:

Firefox for Android looks great now that the UI has been migrated to Material 3.

Also, the secret settings menu now has toggles for isolated content proccesses (at least in IronFox), meaning that the browser should offer proper site isolation when they are enabled.

Btw, both IronFox and Fennec are fully functional even without Google Play Services, including FIDO2 and UnifiedPush support.
If you need push notifications, you can use Sunup to connect to Mozilla's push server and use it as a UnifiedPush distributor for both Firefox forks and other compatible apps.
Both IronFox and Sunup are available in Accrescent and some F-Droid repos.

So langsam entwickelt sich was auf dem #Pixel7a. Ich hatte noch nie #whatsapp
Jetzt hab ich auf #Grapheneos ein leeres Profil ohne alles erstellt und #whatsapp aktiviert.
Aber wie bekommt man jetzt ein paar Daten zwischen den Profilen ausgetauscht? Scheinbar bin ich nicht der erste mit der Frage.
Im #accrescent Store gibt es dafür #InterProfileSharing. Da sperren wir #Whatsapp in den Käfig und Daten, wenn notwendig, tausche ich zwischen den Profilen aus. Immer noch ohne #Google & #PlayService 👍

@dss Moin, das mit dem "Google #Playstore und Service App´s" war mir schon bekannt. Meine eigene Herrausforderung war, dass ich das OHNE hinbekommen wollte. Über #AuroraStore einfach die bekannten App´s wieder installieren. Hat so nicht funktioniert.
Also hab ich die Komfortzone verlassen und Alternativen über #fdroid und #Accrescent gesucht. Ist jetzt bissl anders wie vorher, aber #degoogle. "Mein Zeugs" geht jetzt alles! 😃
Trotzdem denke ich, dass #degoogle einfacher werden sollte.
