Peaches at least 2 months too soon. The tree looks horrible. Old leaves, new leaves, flowers, fruit, all at the same time.

Feeling quite low. Harvested some of the winter grown sunflower heads. Will spend some time saving the seeds

Three large sunflower heads. Two with dark brown seeds, one with gray. A set of hand pruners across one of the face to show scale. The heads are wider than an outstretched hand. Heads are on a wooden table with a dog puzzle feeder & potted plants

Freeze update: Tomatoes and most of the zinnias look very bad. Some of the chickpea plants, too. Interestingly, the ones planted close together survived. Tomorrow I might have more time to investigate. Lettuce and carrots are very happy. #GrowYourOwn #Cold #Zone10B

They look ok for now. However, freeze damage results will be visible much later. Let’s see what happens. Could take pics of only 3 beds. Other 3 were looking the same. I think these being sunny days might help these plants survive. I know carrots and beets will survive for sure.

More details in the alt text.

Sissoo spinach or Brazilian spinach standing tall. In the background, longevity spinach, cosmos, rainbow chards, bok choy, tomatoes, marigold and other plants are looking on too.White chickpea, scarlet sage, zinnias, tomatoes, lettuces, carrots, cosmos, various chili plants and other plants are looking ok too. For now.Black chickpea plants look ok. However, some pink flowers have turned purple. That’s not good, I suppose. Tongho, other lettuces, zinnias, cosmos, Mexican mint and other plants are surviving for now.

Don't know how you all do it, but in South Florida, we grow our own ibis on trees. Just to clarify, these were not planted by me.

P.S.: An update to the Ibis is in reply.

A flock of ibis is sitting on the bald branches of a firangpani tree. They must have been done with breakfast one because they are busy pruning themselves. A yellow board saying speed hump is in front of the tree.

And then this bed where I added another soil-fertilizer-peat moss-worm casting combo. Out of all the beds, this one is doing the best! Every single seed I planted germinated and is growing like a rockstar! What you see are black chickpeas plants. What you don't see are tongho, another three varieties of lettuces, Mexican mint, and many more plants that I obviously don't remember. :) 😄

I have a total of 13 red carrots growing. I swear this is the first time that this miracle has happened. I tried a new soil-fertilizer-worm casting combo. It's all mixed with native soils. I am going to plant more seeds this Sunday. Even small radishes, beets, and lettuce are going great! So happy!!! Don't know what peppers are doing right now. I will take whatever win comes my way right now. Started way too late with tomatoes. Who knows what I will get? :) deets about raised bed and plants are in alt text. #GrowYourOwn #SouthFlorida #Zone10B #Gardening #Happy

Through the year, I've been gently pruning this Meyer lemon tree. Each time I asked permission and said thank you with each cut. Breathe in and place shears, breathe out with the cut. Seems to have been what we both needed.

Looking up at tree. A large green fruit starting to turn yellow. Clusters of white and pink flower buds tucked among leaves. Sky above is blue with white storm clouds building
