Heyas, not had time for socials today. I'm still fighting a ridiculous fatigue bug. I've also been slowly getting back into #pyrography this week and considering products etc.

I've had a kinda planning session with wifey, so that I have a slow, logical approach, to work around my "health" and writing.

These are my latest #spoons.

But I've just been using a spreadsheet and researching other aspects and now I have a headache. So it's time for meds and sleep already.

Two smallish wooden spoons, each with a different design, hand-drawn using pyrography (wood burning).

The spoon on the left uses a quote from the move "The Matrix" that says "there is no spoon", and the words "No Spoon" are written in lettering akin to that from the movie graphics. It has cascading binary numbers below it.

The seoncd spoon shows an Owl sitting on a thin branch and looking to the side with its eyes only.

Is this woodworm dust? That's my best guess - dust made by the larvae of woodworm beetles - but it's hard to get clear photos that match it for comparison, search being useless these days.

It's in all the corners where the skirting board meets the bath. The first photo shows where I haven't tried to clean it up, the second where I have.

I'm guessing I need to tell my Landlord about this?

Fine brown dust on the tip of a painted wood skirting board where it meets a plastic outside of a bath. Pipes are visible just above this, but I don't think they are connected.

A corner where a white-painted skirting board meets a wall and a bath. while the brown dust has mostly been wiped away here, it's still visible in the corner and along the edge.

Creating a simple board from leftover wood.

A finished board, fit for standing reading materials in the tub.

Today I used my new toy - a router!!

Learnings from the day:
I can cut far more accurately with it than I imagined 🥳
The accuracy led to some very tight joints 🤨
I relearned how easy it is to split wood when you hit it 🔨
(I think you can guess why there’s no picture attached to this 😬)
Oh my days does it create a lot of mess! 🧹
It’s heavy 🏋️‍♀️

But I am going to be able to do some of the things I want to do now that I have one!
