Скажите, кто-нибудь сталкивался в #wechat что приложение не дает добавить новый контакт и тебя не могут добавить, и как следствие можно писать только в старые чаты. Пишет что аккаунт под угрозой.
А для снятия такого ограничения нужно прикрепить id китайского паспорта либо wexian pay
В первые такое увидел, и нигде нет решения.
Китайцы тоже не вдупляют, и говорят такого никогда не видели

If the issue is that my version of #Android is unsupported by later versions of WeChat, I wish #GooglePlay or #WeChat or both would just tell me that, instead of leaving me guessing.
I have to use WeChat voice calls often to speak with clients in #China. I'm trying to have one now, but I can't: it says she has a newer version & I must update. But #GooglePlay has no update, just ~~v8.0.65~~. (She doesn't have WhatsApp.)
Do I have to sideload an APK or something?
EDIT: My v is 8.0.42, but neither WeChat nor Play offer me update to 8.0.65. Maybe due to my Android version (13)?
After figuring out that it's indeed #ubuntu's theming that breaks #wechat on #linux, I'm giving another chance to #fedora. So far so good. I know, it sounds stupid to distrohop just because of one application, but it's an important one for me. And besides, this is a new chance to set #emacs up, which I enjoy anyways. I'm enjoying vanilla #gnome a lot too (but then again, I always liked it). For me, it's undoubtedly the best DE after #unity, which forever will be my favourite.
