When I was a kid in the 90s, I had a Wax Trax video compilation on VHS that had this great cover of Patsy Cline's "Walking After Midnight" done by Los Angeles' BRAINDEAD SOUND MACHINE. This was the first way I ever heard this song, and I'm crazy about this version.

listened to milesâs AURA for the first time. almost feels like a novelty albumâa thoroughly Respectable euro-chamber outing that happens to have miles davis on trumpet. initially intriguing, but iâm unlikely to give it much thought in future. still, itâs nice to know thereâs more than one interesting post-hiatus miles davis album.
