Another reason not to buy a #Tesla #Cybertruck: they are poorly made.
As videos in this story show, the door strikers were not fastened properly to the car, causing one of this car’s rear doors to swing open on a highway on-ramp. The door happened to be the one next to their baby in a car seat.
The bolts on the striker were very obviously not torqued correctly. How this level of obvious error escaped the manufacturing/quality control floor is unknown, but I suspect it’s because the Cybertruck was poorly designed to begin with, and also because Tesla cut corners everywhere during their manufacturing process to save money.
Tesla knew that this defect was quite damning, so they offered to buy back the #Wankpanzer, in return for the owner promising not to sue.

UK to tax #EVs at a flat rate per mile. So a frugal wee electric city car like a #DaciaSpring pays exactly the same rate per mile as a 3-tonne #wankpanzer electric #SUV monster.
It would have been very simple to make this fair, by including a weight factor, to reflect the increased road wear and energy usage by heavier cars. Something like 2p per tonne per mile would be about right for an #EV tax.

And that's why I propose to aggressively work towards #PersonalLightVehicles and whilst some people may easily consider products like the #TataNano yet another billionaire's doodling turned into a product of a person who is inherently not perfect (but who'm I wished to have the chance to have tea with, but sadly never got.)...
Cuz we can all agree that the #WankPanzer by #SwastiCar isn't going to "save the world" (despite some dellusional #BEV fans thinking!) because it's overall #wastefulness is the Problem.
