@chris I've used #Upcloud for this myself. It is fully comparable to Hertzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr etc. Finnish company with datacenters across Europe.

This weekend finished migrating a service from #aws to #upcloud.

For fremtiden sin del, så håper eg #UpCloud setter en standard ved å åpne datasenter i #Norge - ikkje fordi eg e så glad i hvordan datasentere driftes, men fordi server leverandører i Norge ikkje retter seg mot forbrukere på en effektiv og moderne måte.

Eg vil at #Linode og #DigitalOcean slår følge, eller at Norske datasentere begynner å samarbeide for å kunne konkurrere.

I've been doing #cloud transformation this weekend. Moving from #Nextcloud, hosted in my apartment running on #NUC and #Debian, to #OpenCloud and #Immich hosted on #Finnish #UpCloud's infrastructure in #Espoo (FI-HEL1). There's still some bits missing but I'd say the change is worth investing some time and energy.

Following up on timekeeping: your documentation recommends using NTP on cloud servers to manage clock drift. To implement this optimally, does UpCloud provide internal NTP servers for clients to use within each data center? Using a local source would be ideal to avoid the latency and jitter of public NTP pools.

Has anyone had any luck verifying their UpCloud account with a prepaid debit card in the US, like one you get from the store? I really think the problem with why it says no is because of issues with the "bank security" thing, and I was thinking maybe a prepaid card wouldn't have that and wouldn't require asking for it. If that works, I'll have to grab one at the store.

@Alexx I use #hetzner and #upcloud. Upcloud have free egress traffic as very few so that can be very beneficial in some cases.
