Tür in der Ruine des Ihmezentrums, zusammen mit der Wand mit Graffiti beschmiert. Rechts neben der Tür eine Metallkasten mit Hinweisschild »Löschwassereinspeisung«, vor dem ein gepolsterter Hocker als Sperrmüll steht. Oberhalb der Mauer ist die seit Jahren provisorische Baustellenabsperrung mit Sperrholz eher zu erahnen als zu sehen.

Für mich als Außenstehende wirkt die #Asamkirche in #München ziemlich #kitschig. Ich habe mich dann mal nicht in die lange Schlange vor der Eingangstür gestellt. // For me as an outsider, the Asam #Church in #Munich seems quite t̶a̶c̶k̶y̶ elaborate. There was a long queue in the street, but I gave it a miss.

For today's #Doorsday, I delved into the archives and found a green beauty that adorns Capela Carlos Alberto in the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal in #Porto. Normally, I prefer and post doors only, but this little chapel – and the light – were so lovely ...

The #chapel was built for Charles Albert (Carlo Alberto) of Sardinia by his sister, a few years after he died in Porto.

After his defeat in the final battle of the First War of Italian Independence in March 1849, Charles Albert abdicated as king of Sardinia in favour of his son. He fled from Novara (not far from Milan) to Porto in exile, where he arrived a month later, now gravely ill, and died soon after in July 1849. His son and successor, Victor Emmanuel II (Vittorio Emanuele), became the first king of a unified Italy in 1861.

Above the green double doors, a circular rose window adds a touch of colour and elegance. Flanking the entrance, two stone urns rest on pedestals, each crowned with decorative finials. The path leading to the chapel is paved with stone slabs, bordered by trimmed hedges and mature trees, including towering palm trees. Eine Tür in einer verwitternden Fassade. Links und rechts je ein Fenster, beide seit langer Zeit weder geputzt noch Rahmen gestrichen. Die Fassade ist in einem hellen Blauton gestrichen und ist durch den Schmutz der Zeiten überwittert. Zur Tür führen drei Stufen hoch. Die Tür ist aus Holz mit Glasoberfenster. Sie ist weiße gestrichen und aktuell schmutzig/verwittert. Sie ist durch blaue Rahmung aufgelockert. Links uns rechts stehen Grünpflanzen in Kübeln. Der Sockel des Gebäudes ist mit kleinen Fliesen versehen (mutmaßlich waren die mal weiß).

Second storm passed. Yesterday storm "Anna" passed over the North. We had 20 cm of snow, apparently further South it snowed up to 60 cm. Two storms following each other in such a short time is very unusual. This is one of the doors of the builing where we are staying. From the inside!

Today I will meet the local chef Jonathan to discuss the further steps for my climate change menu.
