Ich hab das seit der Diagnose (2013?) so, hatte wegen der schweren #Depression seit Sommer keine Kraft 2x täglich einzunehmen. Zu wenig.
Und swill mir #Antidepressivum verordnen. Grundsätzlich gut. Aber das, das bei 90% der Einnehmenden für GewichtsZUnahmen sorgt? No fucking way, ich hab im letzten Jahr eh 25 kg zugenommen. Trotz #Trulicity

@Habrok42 sitzt für uns beide bei der Hausärztin. Ich musste nicht mit, um erneuten Kreislaufkollaps durch in meiner Verfassung (ich hab psychisch bedingt extrem zugenommen, #Essstörung) zu weiten Weg zu vermeiden.
Angeblich werde ich nächsten Minuten mit meinen Blutwerten angerufen
Ich möchte um Anpassung meiner Medikation bitten, weil #Trulicity überhaupt nicht mehr als #Abnehmspritze wirkt (durch die Essstörung und null Bewegung).

Interesting observation for my own posterity... I had a good #A1C at the latest check-up (6.7 IIRC). The doc took me off of glipizide as a result, hoping that just #trulicity would be sufficient. However, now, for the past month, I've been struggling to control my blood sugar. And, when it gets high enough, the effect is... oddly reminiscent of being high. It's not the same effect of course, but... it's close enough for me to notice. Huh. 🤷
They aren't playing with these #Ozempic type meds.
Just got prescribed one for the first time since the pandemic.
Got really sick and checked into the ER on #Trulicity because I didn't understand how they worked.
Apparently, now there is a safety flag for certain doses.
These things are no fucking joke!
Sorry, #dulaglutide med #trulicity; the more general description of these drugs is #glp1 receptor agonists.
Apparently various professional orgs have been kinda all over the map on whether or not to hold such meds pre-op, but now they are coalescing -- still without formal evidence-based guidance, mind you -- around 24-hour liquid diet in preoperative phase, especially for higher doses of the meds for patients on weekly regimens.
Maybe due to #semaglutide med #trulicity, which delays gastric emptying? Just a "shot" in the dark, really. The paranoid person in me thinks that the GI doc might be trying to increase billable hours knowing that I've already hit deductible for the year.

Wife developed #gastroparesis really bad & saw many specialists over the past several years & it just got worse. So bad that they were talking about options like a stimulator or a drain tube, which would be ironic because I have a feeding tube. We joked, "I would have one for input, she would have one for output."
A new #nurse practitioner determined it was her #Trulicity causing it, took her off of it &added mealtime insulin

One of the articles seems to indicate a study shows efficacy for up to 3 years.
This is interesting because this seems to fall in line with my weight loss/appetite modulation only lasting maybe 2 to 3 years.
But over a decade on this medication for it’s prescribed purpose…you know, the diabetes…management continues to be good with the latest version of these, Mounjaro. Even at max dose, my appetite is “normal”.

@Fury Lame. Yeah, #Ozempic was ordered for me when the #Mounjaro supply went dry, but that never went through. #Trulicity just didn’t do it for me. So a good 2 months with not great management. Really struggled to stay above 60% TIR, let alone the recommended 70%.
And I’m on a low carb diet.
Despite being back on a GLP-1 RA (Trulicity 3mg) and significantly increasing my basal insulin, my BG is still staying stubbornly high. I’m doing what I can, diet-wise, to try to manage things.
Since I had some other stuff to request refills for, I added Mounjaro 15mg to the list to retry. Still can’t order from the online pharmacy, but maybe I can luck out with CVS.
I’m getting tempted to just request going on MDI.
I plan to reorder Mounjaro 15mg at some point before I run out of Trulicity. Just checked and my online pharmacy is still not allowing orders for these.
So the shortage continues.
The Trulicity just isn’t doing as good of a job. I’ve mostly dialed in my management, but I definitely have higher insulin requirements to achieve it.
So it appears my insurance provider may have sent the wrong automated message about coverage. It was, in fact, concerning Trulicity, but it was intended to inform that prior authorization was approved.
My 7 day TIR is back above 70%. I suspect in large part because I’m back on my GLP-1 RA. Well…_A_ GLP-1 RA. It’s not going to be peak performance for a while, at least until I can get back to my normal drug at my preferred dose.
