Not overall happy with the sounds but definitely happy with the approach to using TidalCycles with Cardinal/VCV Rack. More of this in the future for sure.
From my earliest days of using Tidal I knew that I wanted to use it for percussion and sequencing and synths for melodies and pad sounds.
I foresee myself getting into hardware modular audio by the end of the year 🙃

Just discovered this fantastic extension for #BitWig. Will mostly use it to send OSC messages from clips in BW when playing live, allowing me to start/stop patterns and other things in #SuperCollider and #tidalcycles from there. Neat for live sets.
I did a complete run through earlier and I'm happy with how things are progressing! Here's a clip.
At the moment I'm using the controller (little window in the middle) mainly for adding effects but I will practice using it more for "normal" DJ purposes. Next step is getting some vocal stems, and curating a better track selection.
Oh, my album on "industrie musicale" dropped yesterday already, digitally and on #tape. It's a collection of stuff I did in #tidalcycles in the last years. Hectic, glitchy, AI-free musicz.

Apparently this was performed in https://strudel.cc/ a live coding REPL in the browser, based on https://tidalcycles.org/ a Haskell based language for algorithmic music.
Recently I've been working on Djing, live coding, and live coding the DJ software (@mixxx) simultaneously! This is off the back of mine and @geikha 's p2p/b2b performance and my recent hybrid DJ/live coding set. Right now it sounds absolutely terrible and I've been spending most of my time figuring out latency and timing things. It definitely has potential and I'm hoping to present a demo piece in April somewhere.

The Strudel REPL doesn't melt my new laptop so I had a play.
Sample handling is MUCH better than Tidal Cycles and the default 909 samples are decent. Sound design seems more batteries-included (like FM synthesis doesn't require custom Haskell to make it usable) but Tidal can use any SuperCollider SynthDef so it wins for depth.
@fionafokus @HouseOfTea @janamarie indeed I'll not play a #tidalcycles MIDI livecoding around 3:30-4:30. 🙉
