Man, upgrading my Thinkpad's LCD panel to the 100% SRGB model was so worth it.
I got the laptop for cheap, but the colors on the original 45% NTSC panel it came with were so washed-out looking, it discouraged me from using it for long periods.
Even typing code in the terminal is more enjoyable lol #thinkpad

Apparently the solution is to reset your BIOS settings, and then everything works, at least for now. You may want to apply a BIOS update from fwupd first and then reset your BIOS settings once everything's complete.
Well, that just about does it, at least for now! 😄

After waking up, my X1 Carbon Gen 13 with Debian 13.3 lost its Bluetooth. The Bluetooth service is functional. The BlueZ user stack is active; however, the kernel is experiencing communication issues with the controller.

fwupd has finally picked up on my #ThinkPad's BIOS because Discover lists there being an update available. UEFI dbx also apparently needs an update too, so I'll let that happen.
If this somehow fixes the sleep issue, then I will be very happy. I don't think it will because in theory I should have the latest BIOS, but if that's not the case, then I'll update it. Either way, let's see what happens 👀

Update on the #ThinkPad situation: it can certainly get me through an entire day of university classes! At least, I'm in my final class where I need this, and the last one I don't use my laptop at all. Right now, I'm at 68% battery. For reference, my mom's laptop would have used near half of its battery in the first class of the day. This is such a major improvement!
Meanwhile, opening the lid after putting the thing into hibernation automatically starts it up. It didn't do that before, but it appears to now be doing that after I had to force power-off the machine after closing the lid (which should've put it into hibernation mode but that didn't quite work).
So overall so far? Most an awesome experience, just wish sleep worked.
I always feel torn between two worlds with my primary laptops. :linux:
Either I'm optimizing my tiling and keyboard navigation experience on my Thinkpad or trying to create a smoother touchscreen tablet environment on my Surface.

I know some of you nerds are collectors but I'm down to two #thinkpad rigs from 3 and it's still confusing which is which. Both are work devices and close in age to one another. The third was a yoga but I passed that to a friend because I worried I'd fold the wrong machine backwards.
