Dándome cuenta que en #Termux para ir a los binarios se suele usar cd $PATH que es mas cómodo, pero no se que hizo el servidor de Jellyfin que lo rompió :al_r_kirbywoah:

Oficialmente hay otra manera que es:

cd $PREFIX/bin

Would be a perfect device for #termux

Happy to report that #Termux works for #Git syncing with my remote repo on mobile data! It often fails when I'm using #PuppyGit or #GitSync. Really happy I can do everything related to my blog now when I'm not at home!

@jacket It depends on what you want to do. I've had a good time #programming on my somewhat larger smartphone in #Termux on #Android, but this has its limitations. I mostly did tutorials and (small) scripting for fun. It felt limited since back then I couldn't get things like #Docker working.

lots of browsers are just #chromium with a hat on. 🤠 ( #vivaldi, #brave, ... )

there are good independent browsers like #lynx and #offpunk, which can run on #android in #termux. even though they're terminal apps, scrolling and clicking works.

#librera on #android can be used for reading web sites too, even though it's not a browser as such.

then use an eat-shit browser only for the parts of the web that requires you to eat shit (run #javascript).

Ah, oficialmente en el repositorio de #Termux ya se puede instalar un servidor Jellyfin :al_a_woah:

Je viens de découvrir Termux:Widget sur le téléphone donc je me suis fait 3 petits lanceurs via une icône :

- Un lanceur pour monter un serveur http (via python http.server) qui partage un dossier temporaire avec des symlink vers les .epub du dossier de téléchargement : me permet de télécharger vers ma liseuse qui se connecte à se serveur http. Quand je reclique sur l’icone ça l’éteint
- Une icone qui lance syncthing sur mon téléphone et l’arrête quand je reclique : me permet de syncthing mon keepass
- Et un dernier dans le genre, qui me sert moins souvent, lancer le serveur sshd de termux pour pouvoir faire ça depuis le pc

Seul défaut : ça ne kill pas la session termux ouverte à l’occation, donc faut que je fasse moins même. Mais c’est déjà mieux qu’avant.

We have an old #iPad kicking around (has been used just for watching videos... But even that's getting difficult as apps are no longer supported) and I had the idea of repurposing (ideally with #foss tools) as a remote access tool for my pi which runs my #jellyfin server. *insert a few frustrating hours of toying with that (trying #vnc & #terminal emulators) to no success (OS "too old" for much compatibility).

Flip gears.

Decide, let's just do it on my #android phone. Stumbled on #Termux on #fdroid and its beautiful. Now I can #SSH into my pi for quick work if needed. So satisfying.

Also more than a little disgusted that a piece of hardware (the iPad) is basically rendered #ewaste as its not compatible with anything due to OS update block and inability to repurpose with an alternative.
