Maybe #AirMobile was testing #RCS the last year, but they claim it was “mistakenly” enabled. But it shows that it DOES work, actually. Now it is disabled and that interoperability is lost again. #MTN appears to not have enabled RCS unlike #vodacom #Telkom and #CellC have done.

Wow, Swiftnet. Now there's a name I haven't heard for a long time. Many years ago, almost in another life, I worked on the team that developed the line-of-business mobile application (running on Microsoft Windows Pocket PC and written in the .NET Compact Framework) that all their field service technicians used to track their work and file job cards, etc.

Streaming auf der #MagentaBox heute wieder katastrophal. Sowohl Disney+ als auch Netflix mit Ton- und Bildausfällen sowie Komplettabbrüchen. Ein Wechsel auf die PS4 schafft Abhilfe. Beide Streamingdienste liefern störungsfrei ab. Telekom scheint schwerpunktmäßig wohl eher so Schwachsinns Dienste wie Blöd-TV integrieren zu wollen statt eine stabile Plattform zur Verfügung zu stellen.

Want to keep your landline number after your copper line is cancelled in South Africa? Port it before cancelling your line

Most South Africans know that Telkom is already busy phasing out their copper lines (which ADSL and landline phones operate on). What Telkom usually does is immediately offer a LTE based handset with the same number which operates like a landline phone.
But if you have ADSL you'll want to move to ideally fibre or if not available then an LTE-A Internet service. On both the fibre and the LTE-A service you can operate a Voice-Over-IP phone service (you need to consider if your cellphone is not just good enough to use then you would not worry with this VoIP service). But if you want to keep your old Telkom landline number to use on VoIP then you must port that number while you still own it (not after you have cancelled your landline).
