Tile a tab opened from a link with its parent tab in one move.

In a tiled view, you’ll have two or more tabs displayed simultaneously, allowing you to conveniently browse and compare content on multiple web pages at once. There are many ways to tile tabs, but if you’re about to open a link from a web page that you will be tiling with the active tab, follow the instructions below to cut this multi-step action down to just one step.

To create a tiled view from a link:

1. Right-click on a link on the web page.
2. Select Open Link In > Open Link as Tiled Tab.

When you do the same on an already tiled tab, the new tab will be added to the tiled view.

ウェブページのリンクから開いた新しいタブを自動的に現在のタブとタイル表示する方法

2 つのウェブページのコンテンツを表示したり、比較したりしたい場合、Vivaldi の タブタイリング 機能を利用すると便利です。でも、その他にも Vivaldi に備わっているちょっとしたトリックを使うと、タブのタイル表示をもっと簡単に行えます。

現在のタブと新しいタブをタイル表示するには：

1. 設定 > クィックコマンド > コマンドチェイン に移動する
2. 「コマンドチェインを追加」をクリックする
3. 新しいチェインに名前を付けて、以下のコマンドを追加する：
   • コマンドパラメータとして {link_url} で新しいタブでリンクを開く
   • 縦にタイル/横にタイル
4. 設定 > 外観 > メニュー > メニューのカスタマイズ に移動する
5. ウェブページ > リンク を選択する
6. コマンドのリスト > コマンドチェイン から、コンテンツのコラムに作成した新しいチェインをドラッグする

その後は、現在のタブと新しいタブをタイル表示したい時は、ウェブページのリンクを右クリックして独自の名前を付けたコマンドチェインのオプションを選択してください。

Automatically tile a new tab opened from a link on a web page with the current tab.

Whenever you need to view or compare the contents of two web pages, using the Tab Tiling feature in Vivaldi makes it very easy. But there are little tricks in Vivaldi that help to make tiling tabs even easier.

To tile a new tab with the current tab:

1. Go to Settings > Quick Commands > Command Chains.
2. Click on “Add Command Chain”.
3. Give the new chain a name and add the following commands:
   • “Open Link in New Tab” with {link_url} as the Command Parameter.
   • “Tile Vertically/Horizontally”.
4. Go to Settings > Appearance > Menu > Menu Customization.
5. Select Web Page > Link menu as the one you’re going to edit.
6. From the Commands list > Command Chains, drag the new chain you created to the Content column.

Then whenever you want to tile the new tab with the current tab, right-click on the link on the web page and select the option with your command chain’s name.

Vivaldi ではタブを行ったり来たりする必要はありません。タブタイリング を利用すれば、分割画面ビューで複数のタブを同時に表示できます。タブの順番やウェブページのレイアウトによりますが、グリッドビューがうまく機能しないことがあるかもしれません。そんな場合にはタイルをリサイズしたり（詳しくは Tip #47 から)、タブを並べ替えたりしてビューを調整してください。

タイル表示したタブを並べ替えるには：

1. 移動させたいタブをクリックしてマウスボタンをホールドする
2. タブをタブバーの別の位置にドラッグする
3. 他に移動させたいタブがあれば、同じアクションを繰り返す

In Vivaldi there’s no need to jump back and forth between tabs – Tab Tiling allows you to view several tabs at the same time in a split-screen view. Depending on your tab order and the layout of the web pages, the grid view might not work out of the box, so it’s necessary to adjust the view by resizing the tiles (see Tip #47) and by reordering the tabs in the tiled view.

To reorder tiled tabs:

1. Click on a tab you want to move and hold down the mouse button.
2. Drag the tab to a different location on the Tab Bar.
3. Repeat with the other tiled tabs until all tiled tabs are where you want them.

Android スマートフォンでタイル表示することはできますが、小さな画面ではウェブページのコンテンツは見えにくいですよね。タブレットの画面には表示領域に余裕があるため、ウェブページのタイル表示にも適していると言えます。

Android 端末でウェブページをタイル表示するには、別々のウィンドウで開く必要があります。現在開いているウィンドウを新しいウィンドウを使ってタイル表示するには、メインの Vivaldi メニューで「新しいウィンドウ」を選択すると、2 つの Vivaldi ウィンドウが自動的にタイル表示されます。

既に開いている別のウィンドウか異なるアプリで Vivaldi をタイル表示するには：

1. タブレットのアプリスイッチャーのメニューを開く

Make use of the extra screen real estate on your Android tablet to tile web pages.

While tiling is possible on your Android phone, the small screen makes it difficult to see the content of both tiled web pages. But tablets’ screens fit a lot more, so tiling web pages there makes a lot more sense.

To tile web pages on Android, they need to be open in separate windows. To tile your current Vivaldi window with a new window, open the main Vivaldi menu and select “New Window”. The two Vivaldi windows will be tiled automatically.

To tile Vivaldi with another window you already have open or with a different app:

1. Open the tablet’s app switcher menu.
2. Tap on Vivaldi’s logo and select “Open in split screen view”.
3. Browse through your apps and tap on the one you want to tile Vivaldi with.

I tried to compare two #Wikipedia pages in Vivaldi on my Android #smartphone. To do this, I had to switch #tabs or open another browser and use the split screen. This seems a bit cumbersome to me.
