Okay, #Apple making #Spotlight on the #Mac the be-all and end-all of search in #MacOS is officially (IMHO) a failure. Since it was available, I've used it to run apps by name, which I think was it's original purpose.
Today, with Tahoe 26.2, I needed to run Orion. Try as I might, it wouldn't offer up the app. I finally had to go into the Applications folder to run it. Are they cannibalizing their Q/A Q/C teams to make unreadable losers like Liquid Glass? (The accessibility fixes for LG are nowhere good enough.)
Programming 101: Don't overload functions on single interface items. Users hate complexity. They hate relearning things. And when they can't do what they want, they begin to distrust you. I'm not ditching the Apple ecosystem for Linux or Windows anytime soon, but neither am I praising their operating system design anymore. They don't deserve the accolades they once earned.
I wish I stayed on Sequoia.
