As Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) noted on Thursday, “Not only does the U.S. Constitution clearly provide states the authority to regulate the ‘times, places, and manner’ of holding federal elections, but one-size-fits-all mandates from Washington, D.C., seldom work in places like Alaska.”

Join Sen. Murkowski: vote NO on the 2026 SAVE Act.

Its premise, that there is widespread voting by non-citizens, has been thoroughly debunked. Fraudulent votes of all types (including a spouse voting for a recently deceased partner) represented less than 0.002 percent of all votes cast in six battleground states in 2020, according to an AP analysis. That’s roughly 475 fraudulent votes out of 25 million cast—and existing local systems caught the erroneous ballots.

Under the SAVE Act, an estimated 69 million women and 4 million men have legal names that do not match their birth certificates due to marriage, divorce, or other life changes. While an estimated half of all White Americans hold a valid US passport, only about one-third of people of color do. At least 21 million American adults do not have or cannot easily access the documents required by the SAVE Act.

The intent of this bill is not voting integrity but voter suppression.

There are wayyyyyyyy to many people out there who believe they are going to waltz into their polling place with their state issued ID and be allowed to vote.

Lots of people telling me I'm stupid to think they will not be able to vote with their state issued ID if the SAVE Act passes in its current form.

I ask them, "Where on your ID does it say you are a U.S. citizen cause that's what it has to say for you to be able to register with just your ID." And the same boneheads don't believe they will have to update their voter registration.

At this rate, we're going to have three people show up who are correctly registered.
