#gardening report: Watching pea micro greens for harvest time. Started new batch of spicy microgreens. Checking on bulbs in the fridge, amaryllis and cally and canna and begonias in the garage. Gifting more of the July garlic harvest, and transplanting the bromeliads as something isn't right with them. #PlayingInTheDirt #microgreens #bulbs #amaryllis #perennials #WinterGardening

This is the final pink #cosmos bloom of 2025.

I was quite impressed with how long they held on, refusing to stop blooming, after several big rain/wind storms & temperatures dropping. I appreciated these flowers, when almost all other plants ceased to produce flowers.

We grow 3 different coloured #snapdragons - these red ones, white & yellow ones too. We have more of the reds than the other two. Like pansies - snapdragons are hella resilient flowering plants. When well mulched, they survive & produce blooms in midst of Winter - defying snow & ice conditions.

Snapdragons started being cultivated by gardeners in the 15th century.
