What do u all suggest to use for a batteries included aproach.
I want something which is very easy to setup and run from my local machine or a #VPS using #NixOS. Initially I don't wanna self host, so a managed service is also okay for me.
Want to create Highly Available, Load balancers included,& let me expose the service to the public.
I tried tailscale & it's really cool. But seeing netbird etc, I want ur opinions 😅
snac instance and when it's busy I sometimes get a "bad gateway" error until the traffic clears up.newt installed on its own VM, seems to have plenty of resources but I haven't watched it at peak. Bei Synology würde ich auch vorsichtig sein. Sie pushen ihre Cloud Accounts und haben einen Vendor-Login für Festplatten versucht.
Evtl. einfach einen alten Office-PC mit zwei HDDs oder SSDs bestücken. Habe einen alten Dell Optiplex 9010, der im idle mit 14W so sparsam wie eine Syno ist. Mit #truenas
Docker und so geht bei der Syno IMHO nur mit x86.

finally got rid of cloudflare!
now using pangolin as reverse proxy, the next cloudflare outage i wont be affected! :D
it also feels a lot snappier than with cloudflare, even with a cheapo one core, one gig vps!
i'd appreciate some interactions just to test if federation is still working properly^^
