Celebrating a recent writing win: I wrote nearly 4,000 words yesterday, which is probably a personal words per day record for me!

I started with these prompts for a horror themed Old Guard fandom fest and ended with Wat Tyler as a werewolf with some existential angst about immortality thrown in. I’m also reminded of things I said or did that affected folks I worked with over the years that I'd forgotten, because folks come up and tell me, which is complicated.

Given the context (a pleasant party where folks are catching up) these reminders tend to be uniformly positive, which makes me happy that old-me seems to have been a pretty generous, stand-up guy.

Glad I don't go to the anti-party where I would be reminded of all the not-nice things I did that I also don’t remember.

One great perk of having worked at Pixar is getting to go to a party every few months where only other ex-Pixar folks are gathered.

Amazing opportunity to catch up, and be reminded of what a privilege it was to work with such unbelievably talented people over so many years.
