Apenas caigo en la cuenta de que prácticamente no hay videoclip de los Beatles que muestre a Harrison ejecutando un solo de guitarra. A Lennon sí lo vemos haciendo el solo de "Get Back". Tal vez no sea intencional pero es lamentable. Tanto como mostrarlos a todos tocando sus intrumentos (o fingiendo tocarlos), excepto a Ringo.

I have a DVD with that first Ed Sullivan Show, and I just re-watched it. The #Beatles played "All My Loving," "Til There Was You" and "She Loves You" in the first half and "I Saw Her Standing There" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" in the second half.
Interestingly enough, Davy Jones, later of The Monkees, appeared on that same show as the Artful Dodger in an excerpt from the musical "Oliver!" ("I'd Do Anything") soon after The Beatles first set.
Boy, do I ever feel old. Today is the 62nd anniversary of the start of my #Beatles fandom. I was 8 years old and my oldest sister insisted we watch the Ed Sullivan show that Sunday evening in 1964. As I was already interested in guitars (we had a couple Kingston Trio LP's frequently played), I was amazed at the guitar playing of John and especially George. I was permanently hooked. And of course my most recent music media purchase was the recently released Beatles Anthology IV CD.

Ohrwurm für die Woche: Victoria Canal mit einem Blackbird-Cover. Kann gut sein, dass ich late to the party bin mit Victoria Canal und mit dem Song, egal. Das Blackbird-Original kennt vermutlich jeder, der Beatles-Song mit dem Schuhklopfen von Paul McCartney. Schon geil, aber das Cover <3 Perfekte Reharmonisierung zum Text, beeindruckende Schlichtheit bei maximalem Ausdruck.
