Funny story for this ride, I only roughly had 2 hours, at best, of sleep on a picnic bench next to a gas station after a 7-hour trip. A huge semi parked nearby and a long hatchback arrived shortly afterwards. So then I departed and thought a twisty road would wake me up, which actually was a terrible idea.

I ended up finishing the trail and parking in some random neighborhood, lying flat on some grass, using a tree to keep the wind from stealing heat away from me. Then I guess someone called cops on me to check out what the hell I was even doing. I kid you not, 3 cop cars showed up. I was so exhausted, please leave me alone. Fortunately, they saw I was out-of-state with a bunch of luggage strapped, so thankfully they left me alone and didn't tell me I had to leave immediately.

Misery sure does love company don't it. Still, I'm proud that I even managed to do something like this because now it's a silly, ridiculous memory to share.

Motorcycle chase ends in fiery crash in Pensacola; suspect arrested on multiple charges

PENSACOLA, Fla. — A motorcycle and a pickup truck hauling a trailer caught fire following a crash Tuesday morning in Pensacola.

It happened around 10:15 a.m. at Barrancas Ave. and Seamarge Lane.

Pensacola Police tell WEAR News the crash happened during a pursuit chase of the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, 42-year-old Ryan Michael Pierce, is now being held in Escambia County Jail with no bond on charges of drug trafficking, fleeing police, aggravated battery, damaged property, resisting an officer, drug possession, and a hit and run.

Just read several articles today where the #motorcyclist died from a wreck, and "he was not wearing a #helmet."

We are told to "Watch for motorcycles" repeatedly, but you have to do YOUR PART also.

Please, if you're going to ride, be safer about it.

I have been riding since the early 1980s without any “incidents” on paved public roads (though I’ve hade my share of falls on dirt tracks while competing in rallies in a previous life). I would prefer a reliable, battery operated dashcam that can last my 40 minute ride to work (where I can recharge). That footage was from the akaso ek7000 but it looks bulky and clumsily mounted and probably will attract attention if left on the bike when parked. Any suggestions for a budget of around 200$? Tending towards insta360 go 3 - slightly beyond budget. Anyone use iPhones as dashcam without damaging the phone?

I'd like to nominate for the #Darwin award the 200 or so #motorists who tonight drove past (nearly over) a #motorcyclist who was lying on the ground after a serious #roadaccident on #TulseHill #London. Clearly no fucks given about human life, they just beeped and drove round over the pavement, with debris everywhere, cos the guy dared delay their journey. I had heard the horrible noise of crushed metal but thought no one had been injured from the way #cars were driving thereafter. I was wrong.
