Finally got the major milliput work done on the commission build. Once set I can get it sanded then see if I need to go back over some areas. #StarTrek #ShipsOfStarTrek #ScaleModels #ModelBuilder #MKMModelwerx

Taking another break from milliput/sanding on the commission build, so I’ve wired up the LEDs in its secondary hull and nacelles and completed assembly. Just need to finish milliput/sanding the saucer before i can start wiring up the lights and finish assembly so I can begin paintwork. Last night the starboard side of the aft compartment finished printing. Unfortunately, the supports in the wire tunnels refused to budge, so I had to come up with a workaround. #StarTrek #StarTrekModels #ShipsOfStarTrek #3DPrinting #ScaleModels #ModelBuilder #MKMModelwerx

Had to modify the pylon support structure. When I did a test fit, the upper sphere half sat properly, but there was a large gap between the lower half and the secondary hull, so I cut out this area at the back so that it could move further aft, now the entire sphere sits where it should. #StarTrek #3DPrinting #ScaleModels #ModelBuilder #MKMModelwerx
