Today's date is a dual square number! 27092025 is not only square... but if you write your dates the other way, 09272025 is square too! It's a rare collision to get BOTH dates square like this!

I believe today, of all days, it's hip to be square. #mathnerd

Lattices and sphere packing - when #Math gets really fun and interesting. A recent development in the #Mathematics world raises the ante in the pursuit of optimal sphere packing in multiple high dimensions. Turns out #lattices and ellipsoids are central to the latest piece of the puzzle. This is for my #MathNerd followers🤓 who enjoy a mind-tweaking read. quantamagazine.org/new-sphere- New #SpherePacking Record Stems From an Unexpected Source | Quanta Magazine

Wow, a riveting tale of sunset geometry 🌅📐—because who doesn't want to spend their evening calculating the Earth's radius with a single sunset photo? 🤓🔍 Clearly, classical just wasn't making math nerdy enough, so let's sprinkle in some Geometric Algebra for extra pizzazz. 🎉

Divisibility lovers, take note!
2025 is divisible by both 5 and 9:
2025 = 5 × 405 = 9 × 225
It’s a number with connections everywhere! 🤓

A surflet at scale j is an N-dimensional atom defined over a dyadic hypercube domain [0,2−j] N. It is a Horizon-class function with the discontinuity being a polynomial of degree r. One can cover the entire domain [0,1] N with a collection of such dyadic hypercubes (possibly at different scales) and use surflets to approximate f locally over each of these smaller domains. Note that defining surflets in N dimensions enables our algorithm to operate directly on the N-dimensional function, without explicit knowledge of the (N−1)-dimensional discontinuity.
