That was a pretty good September Sunday. Slept in, took the MG TD for a drive, stopped by a classic-car cruise, watched the Detroit Lions win, caught the sunset, and then watched a truly terrible movie on . Entirely satisfactory.

To celebrate the repair of the MG TD’s brake lights, I took it to the final Lingenfelter Cars & Coffee of the 2025 season. There we found another British sports car and formed a two-car British car section in the midst of a sea of Corvettes.

Of course, mentioning “noir” made me want to go try it as a black-and-white photo.

I like it! It’s wild how you would never guess the car is a light blue color, but the light color in shadow gives it more definition and shading than a black car might have.

My buddy Rich has a 307 Chevy engine and a T5 transmission he needs a car to hold it up.
I found what looks similar an MG td.
Home built rails with leaf springs in back and a mustang II front susp.
Untouched fiberglass body, basically a tub with molded front and rear fenders.
I emphasize *untouched* because that means you don't have to deal with op's hacks!

The final cruise of 2023 for my 1950 MG TD. We made it 217 miles this year. I hope I can still make it 217 miles when I’m 73!

I took advantage of today’s unexpectedly warm October evening to take it for a spin before tucking it away for the winter in my in-laws’ garage.
