Wiped out EXALT yesterday in #XCOM #LongWar.
It's got me a bit worried for what's to come. The EXALT base assault was a multi-hour meatgrinder of a mission. XCOM ended up scoring 33 kills in the end. That's ~50% more than a landed abductor/transport, but..... BUT.....
...the alien base assault can have ~50 enemies, and the aliens are tougher than EXALT troopers. 😬 😬 😬

Ich hab ein Problem, was offensichtlich noch niemand auf der Welt hatte:
Ich will auf meinem Intel Mac Book Pro Windows 11 raufspielen.
Nein, nein, das ist nicht das Problem.
Das Problem ist, dass ich es mit c'tWIMage aufspielen möchte.
Sprich: Ich möchte meinen alten Hauptrechner, ein Windows Rechner, auf den Windows Mac umziehen. Mit c'tWIMage ist das von Rechner zu Rechner kein Problem, hab ich schon "tausendmal" gemacht. Aber da war eben noch nie ein Mac dabei. Aber der Mac ist schneller als mein aktueller Rechner und griffbereit und überhaupt.
Eigentlich möchte ich ja nur X-COM 1 Long War spielen und da der Mac zwei Kerne mehr hat, sechs statt vier und eine dedizierte AMD-Grafikkarte, nicht so ne völlig veraltete Intel-Onboard-Grütze, und XCOM gerade so mir einen Tick zu langsam läuft, könnte man mit dem Mac über diese Hürde hinwegkommen.
Ich bin vor grob anderthalb Jahren SEHR billig an einen Mac gekommen, eigentlich nur für meine Sammlung, weil, der war Apple-ID gesperrt. Und in tagelangen Verhandlungen mit Apple hab ich es tatsächlich geschafft, die zu überzeugen, die ID zurückzuseten.
Vor ein paar Tagen kam mir der Rechner nun mal wieder in die Finger, ich hab Robin gefragt, ob er den leihweise haben will, er hat ja gesagt und kurz darauf gefragt, ob ich wüßte, dass der Apple wahrscheinlich deutlich schneller ist als mein aktueller Rechner.
Und nun will ich mit meinem alten Rechner gerne umziehen. Aber ein Backup mit c'tWIMage hat schon nicht funktioniert. Und boote ich von externer Platte ist die Apple Platte nicht verfügbar.
Naja, erst mal Windows 11 aufspielen.

Weather's not good for cycling, so it's time for more alien splattering in #XCOM #LongWar.
Playing super-conservatively is keeping my troops alive, though it does mean that the civilians suffer during terror missions. Need to work on my interceptor game, though.
Also, I'm renaming Trooper Vink to Trooper Twink, AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME!
