Kilka dni temu zorientowałem się, że na konsoli dalej mam zainstalowaną grę X-Com 2 z dodatkami. Trzy lata w to w ogóle nie grałem, więc sobie odpaliłem i... kurcze, to dalej wciąga.

Dla mnie ta gra ma tylko dwie, a w zasadzie dwie i pół wady:
1. to że ekwipunek się ściąga pomiędzy misjami jeśli żołnierz jest ranny (na PC jest chyba jakiś mod to poprawiający),
2. zły (ale memiczny) sposób prezentacji chybionych strzałów, co prowadzi do absurdalnych sytuacji, kiedy nie trafiamy z karabinu stojąc przy wrogu.
2.5. infantylna fabuła/dialogi (na co przymykam oko ze względu na gameplay)

Lately my way to unwind is basically play a broken XCom 2 campaign. And when I say broken I mean I’m slapping ADVENT around.

Are you using one of those floating balls full or armor? All right! *makes Reaper empty armor piercing rounds into them*

Ah, calling for backup? Cool! *camps the spawn point*

Serves you right for all of those DLC bosses randomly spawning in missions and fucking shit up.

I'm trying my hand on a XCOM2 "Ironman" run, meaning only a single autosave and no ability to re-load a botched maneuvre.

I tend to bond with the little pixel people in my squad and I really try to keep them alive (they even get unique backstories).
Every decision actually matters and sometimes you just decide to let an objective fail because it's better to play it safe and bring everyone back to base. Progress in Ironman actually feels like an achievement. I like it.

I thought it would stress me out more, but it doesn't. Well, I can play XCOM2 drunk and half-asleep on legendary and still ace most missions, so I guess this takes out some of the pressure. But it adds enough that it is exciting again. Would recommend if you look for a reason to re-install this classic.
