Sagt mal wenn ich bei Bottels ein Windoof Programm installiert habe wie bekomm ich das hin, dass ich bei #linux_mint das Programm bei mir im Startmenü finde? Auf die 3 Punkte neben dem Programm hab ich schon geklickt & dort find ich nur was fürn Desktopsymbol & bei Steam hinzufügen. Letzteres hat mich etwas verwirrt aber okay. Jedenfalls tut keins der beiden was ich möchte bzw eigentlich tun die gar nichts zumindest ist mir nichts aufgefallen.Habt ihr da Lösungen? #did #linuxdesktop #linuxhelp

Zwischenstand: ich richte mich langsam so ein, dass ich quasi sowohl unter macOS als auch unter Linux parallel an meinen Webdev-Projekten arbeiten könnte. Gerade beschäftigt mich die Frage, was die beste Methode ist, um Software zu installieren. Unter CashyOS scheint das besonders schwer zu beantworten zu sein. Im Lieferumfang sind zwei fast gleichwertige Installer, die beide irgendwie das gleiche machen!? Octopi und CachyOS Paket Installer? Weiß jemand mehr?

niektóre aplikacje częściej aktualizuje niż uruchamiam, np taki chrome. Gdyby tylko była łatwa opcja ograniczenia tego i dodania wrappera dla wybranych apek, który przy uruchomieniu sprawdziłby (w systemie) czy jest aktualizacja i zapytał czy chcę ją zainstalować

Is there ANY linux file manager that shows folder sizes in list view other than KDE Dolphin?

By sizes I mean actual sizes in bytes not number of items.

I haven't found one yet.

It's surprisingly difficult info to find.
