haven't forgotten my jungle looper/slicer app yet. got a first framework running as Android app using ImGui + SDL, ... and I made a #Korg device emulator for the NTS1 MKII and NTS3

Unfortunately, yesterday I found my #KORG #FC6 #MIDI foot controller to be non-functional, the display continually flashing. :(

I did an initial disassembly, inspection, and diagnosis/testing of the power & I/O board, to no avail. Next will be the button/display board, but I haven't had the energy or time yet.

In the meantime, I keep finding myself grinding to a halt, mashing buttons with my foot, wondering why they're not working. Gah! 2/2

In addition to helping me experience the importance of audio in-game audio cues and learn how to interpret it, the other big takeaway from the last -- uh, eight?! -- years of watching #PUBG #Twitch streamers: use a foot pedal for mic mute, esp. push-to-talk. I implemented on my #OpenBSD workstation using a #MIDI foot controller, momentary pedal switches, and some shell scripts. My #KORG #FC6 had extra buttons, so I use them for switching virtual desktops and such. 1/n

I bought one of those little #Korg Nu:Tekt oscilloscopes (the sort where you have to assemble it yourself) to use with the #Stylophone DF-8 filter. The filter doesn't have its own LFO, so I wanted something that could produce one to modulate the cutoff frequency. It's loads of fun! Pretty easy to put together, even for my middle-aged fingers, and the LFO range extends into audible frequencies. Combined with the Bandstop+ filter, you can get some really cool noises... #GearSquad #Synth #Analogue

Alesis QuadraSynth "Keys" providing the Rhodes electric piano sound, through serious reverb (a little tricky to play, having to hit slightly early compared to the drums due to the reverb delay). Other synths include the Korg M3R (M1 in a rack) and the Moog D for the bass sounds and the Crumar Bit 99, a classic Italian synth, for the hauting melody line.

While yesterday's track didn't use any drums, this one adds a steady rhythm. For the drum machine, I'm using a Univox SR95 (aka Korg Keio Mini Pops 7). No sync and no BPM display on this antique drum machine, so all the clocks (MIDI delays etc) have to be set by hand.
