It was ruled illegal to prescribe Palestine Action as a terrorist group.
So there is a new amendment to the crime and policing bill, which creates the new category of 'extreme criminal protest groups'. This category of group has a much lower bar, but would still make it a crime to be a member, donate to, promote or advocate for said group.
It has been sponsored by Lord Walney who wrote a government report where huge sections were dedicated to #Bristol's #KillTheBill protests, specifically naming, quoting, or linking to news stories about groups like Bristol Anarchist Federation, Bristol Defendant Solidarity and NFA antifascists, with a further section on #BLM and the toppling of the Colston statue.
