Шкода, що диск ромітив повністю. Зате в мене є старий системник на максимум 3 Гб оперативи (4-1) ото мабуть він чекав свого часу.

Local update for KDE frameworks to 6.23.0 finished, in total 68 frameworks have been build (not counting the _devel and _doc packages).
Since haikuports only ships Qt 6.7.2 there won't be any update for these, having an experimental Qt 6.10.2 enables me to keep track on updating KDE related sources.

XFS on HaikuOS

1. Fixed SMAP violation on reading files through vfs_read() call, looks like something changed since previously memcpy used to work in this call.

2. XFS partitions can now be scanned and identified.

3. Fixed bug on directory name comparison, previously we didn't accounted for length of string which could incorrectly report names as equal when one name is a prefix of another (e.g. "dir1" and "dir10")

I've been switching to #HaikuOS running on cheap dell Optiplex machines. It feels like an OS from the late 20th century but has lots of nice modern features. Once you install the software you want, there's no need for it to be online and there's plenty of opportunities to bang around under the hood. It's c++ focused but you can do all sorts of development with it (I'm learning Gameboy programming.) Check it out!

I remember sending away for a #BeOS 4.(something) demo CD and being amazed. But it never swept the home market like Wintel, or the corpo market as a high-end workstation like #Sun or #SGI, or a rapid-development platform beloved by academia like #NeXT. Thank goodness for #HaikuOS.
