Jadę do Sejmu przekonać się na własne oczy, czy izba da radę ponad podziałami polepszyć los zwierząt i ludzi. Będzie też okazja zbić piątkę z Otwartymi Klatkami i podziękować z ogrom pracy od kilkunastu lat 🙏

So, heute mit #raspberrypi #pizerow und Kamera rumgespielt. Ergebnisse werden dann auf der Heimatseite im Zwischennetz https://elbosso.codeberg.page/ veröffentlicht. Das war das zweite #urlaubsprojekt.
Die ersten waren etwas fürs @homelab_de : #docker und #Traefik2 auf einem #thinclient #futro s930 austesten und aus alten Teilen ein Notfall-#nas bauen. Letzteres nur mäßig erfolgreich...
Heute früh dann endlich Durchbruch bei #sQLshell : alle bugs gefixt und #cicdpipeline läuft wieder!

Weil die kleinen #Fujitsu #Futro ThinClients PCIe Schnittstellen haben, kann man da auch Grafikkarten für #FoldingAtHome reinstecken 😂

So braucht das #Linux quasi keinen Strom, nur die Grafikkarte. Und den bekommt sie direkt vom #Balkonkraftwerk ;)

Решил своими ручками потрогать эти ваши куберы.

Собрал кластер на дистре в 100Мб. Даже ssh нет, только кубер. Железо по $7 за ноду: 2Гб ОЗУ, 2х1,6Ггц, 16Гб SSD.

Теперь думаю, зачем я это сделал и что мне синим делать дальше?

Может кто из дата сатанистов подскажет ETL стек обработки данных с DAG? Как его в кубер запихать и зачем 😅

Yesterday I first stumbled across a refurbished #FullHD monitor from #Dell and only minutes later across a #Fujitsu #Futro S920 #ThinClient (greetings to #mydealz).

For less than 50 bucks they’ve now replaced my broken #HP #convertible and brought back the long missed #Proxmox #cluster #dashboard to my #office. 🤩

Eigentlich wollte ich dies Wochenende #Aros davon überzeugen, auf den #Futro zu laufen und dabei gut auszusehen. Stattdessen jetzt die Bremsen an Mutterns karre wechseln. Morgen früh zum #Afu-Club danach meinen neuen PC als #Proxmox-Server einrichten, die beiden vorhandenen Hosts darauf umziehen und die beiden abschalten.

Also #FutroAros dann kommendes Wochenende…

Aber ganz flott noch ein Wachmacher Käffchen…

Also #Aros doch noch auf einen #Futro S400 Installiert bekommen. Mit 42 bis 1337 Umwegen (uA über USB-Stick in einer VM). Die 'Workbench' Bootet in 2-4 Sekunden ab BIOS/POST. Nice!

Aber sobald man das Design auf eher Klassisch umstellt ist die Installation tatsächlich kaputt :-D

@LateNightLinux OFC you were - just like @heiseonline @ct_Magazin were when they bought some #Fujitsu #Futro Thin client with a Celeron J4105 in it, to the point that these are nowadays completely jacked up in pricing on #eBay.de ...

Personally, I use some #hp #t620's as #MiniServer and they run flawlessly with @ubuntu / #Ubuntu 22.04 LTS #Server...

OFC they can also run @Raspberry_Pi #RaspberryPiOS, @bunsenlabs #BunsenLabsLinux and even @tails_live #Tails just fine...

My new 20€ thin client has arrived! Damn I missed having automatic hardware discovery. I'll never buy ARM SoCs ever again.

I have a 2 user instance with a 3 node #Kubernetes #cluster at home with 72 GB memory, 9 cores, and 4.7 TB, soon 5.7 TB hard disk space.
It's all high-availability now as well, including load balancing, storage and Kubernetes control plane.
If you ever want to get rid of the virtual machine and maybe add a bit of capacity, I recommend tiny ~200 euro #Intel #NUC servers.
Although #Futro seems very nice as well.

Ich hab ein schönes #cloudinit user-data #yaml gebaut, das auf meinem #Fujitsu #futro einen #lxd container mit #alpine aufsetzt und #minetest-server kompiliert, weil Gründe.

Eine Stunde später habe ich zwei Dinge herausgefunden:

1. Die Wärmeleitpaste war doch noch OK.
2. Es gibt #minetest-server auch fix un ferdisch im #alpine edge community repo... 🤦‍♂️

Use #Proxmox or just use it as docker host???

Finally I went with Proxmox because I want to try things and some of these are published as full ISOs. I also wanted to have a more strong separation between internal and external services.

As I‘m having also a used rackserver from #AirBerlin Dell #Poweredge #r710, which sounds like a jet engine and consumes the entire power of my village, I‘m quite happy with the small #Futro 😂 this can finally really run 24/7.
