We had a very healthy looking fox exploring, in great detail, the wildlife/food forest end of our garden this morning. We know foxes visit at night because we’ve captured them on our trail cam and can hear them calling to each other, but this is the first time we’ve seen one in the daytime.

Didn’t get a photo because I was too busy watching (with a huge smile on my face!), so I’ll share some art instead: this is ‘I have so much of you in my heart’ by Sam Cannon.

Two fox kits playing, the little silver fox looks a bit spooked and the other kit seems to defend something it found vigorously.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): A red fox, quite wet, trots lightly along the edge of the lagoon, scanning its surroundings for breakfast. Ironically, it completely ignored, or perhaps didn't even see, the observer hidden in the shelter for birdwatching.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Un zorro común, bastante mojado pasa al trote ligero junto a la orilla de la laguna mientras observa su entorno en busca del desayuno. Resulta paradójico que ignoró por completo, o quizá no lo vio, al observador que estaba en un puesto de observación de aves.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): A shot very similar to the previous one: the same red fox trotting by while observing its surroundings, but a little closer.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Una foto muy similar a la anterior: el mismo zorro pasando al trote mientras observa su entorno, pero un poco más cerrada.
