Hodges worked at Cedars-Sinai which required her to get a flu vaccine to keep her job. She had a history of cancer, allergies and asked for an exemption. Cedars denied her request, Hodges refused to get the vaccine. As a result, she was fired. Hodges sued Cedars for disability discrimination, but the Court of Appeal ruled against her.
