I'm looking at my vote as a tactical move…

If we look at votes as tactical moves rather than endorsements, we can see how a vote that helps to install a tyrant ends our fight for justice and closes our door to the future. If our votes help defeat the tyrant, then we have preserved our option to work on future strategies in the fight for justice. Even if we despise the person we’ve helped elect, we have left the door open to a way forward.

I'm looking at my vote as a tactical move rather than an endorsement. From a strategic viewpoint I know that if my vote helps to install a tyrant, the door to my fight for justice is closed. But if my vote helps to defeat the tyrant, then I have kept the door open. I have helped to save my option to work for justice tomorrow.

In theory it is a perfect recipe for electoral success. Yet it is a gift that the Democratic nominee, Kamala Harris, seems reluctant to accept.”
